Nice location for a drink, not keen on prices (pint, glass wine, 2 soft drinks £20). Also not keen on shoddy bar staff that serve people that push in front when you've been waiting ages. So drunk piggy eyed curly hair man and your frumpy girlfriend, and the snooty posh spice wannabe with the acneed daughters scoffing cake, this review... More

We had only half an hour to spare, so didn't eat here but had coffee. It's stunning indoors with it's collection of brewing memorabilia and other artefacts arranged along the high walls and on bookcases, and there are patio areas overlooking the lawns towards the Old Royal Naval College. Our waitress was delightfully welcoming and attentive. We'll definitely visit again... More

I brew beer myself, but without the economies of scale of an operation like this, so I know how much it costs. No transport or long term storage costs here either. Fantastic beer, but the prices are outrageous beyond belief.

Really nice beer and good food! The staff is friendly as well. We had the Mac and cheese, chips, and veggie soup.

Having been once before and had a relatively good experience we came back again. This time...oh dear. Well we found a table and then found some menus, this all seemed to be too much trouble for the staff to help a family with two very young children. So after this I went to the bar to order, the staff don't... More

I used to love taking my visitors to this bar and restaurant because of the lovely beer garden and the tasting platter of their own craft beers. Went there again recently and found to my disappointment that they no longer do the tasting platter. Bring back the tasting platter!!

We stumbled across this friendly bar and restaurant whilst attempting to walk the Thames path from the O2 into Greenwich. After an hour's walking and wishing we'd taken the train instead, we found ourselves at the Meantime brewery bar. Tempted by the beers on offer, we ended up staying for lunch which was excellent. Good choice of sandwiches, burgers and... More

We visited the Meantime restaurant on one of the hottest days of the year so it was great that we could dine in the courtyard. The menu was quite varied and the service was good.We had the dressed crab which was reasonably priced. We also tried their home made lager which was very good. Will come back when next in the area.

Staying in Greenwich

Neighbourhood Profile
Greenwich Mean Time starts here, so to speak, as the very concept of global time was established at Royal Observatory, just one of several buildings of architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park and a number of related buildings (and one world famous ship, the Cutty Sark) make up the UNESCO World Heritage site known as Maritime Greenwich. Today a laser beam is shot out across the night sky from the Observatory to mark the location of the Prime Meridian. Other bold (some say brash) 21st century additions to the area include landmarks such as The O2 entertainment complex (previously known as the Millennium Dome) and the Air Line cable cars, which offer scenic transport across the Thames between North Greenwich and the Royal Docks.
