I've had plenty of Sunday roasts here which I always enjoy. The staff are very friendly and good with children. The interior decor is traditional and welcoming. The pub has a great selection of beers and the quality of the drinks is excellent. I recently had the pork chop, which was big and delicious! Highly recommend.

Popped by on Easter Sunday to have a roast. Arrived at about half twelve to find the pub quite empty, however it did not feel gloomy as there was some pleasant background music. Ordered the nut roast which was extremely tasting and filling, the beers on tap were also good. The vegetarian option comes with a very fluffy Yorkshire pudding,... More

Went to the Ship for a late roast last Sunday evening. We've been keen to support and recommend this venue as it has gradually become a much welcome addition to the pub offer in Kennington. Last Sunday evening was wet and windy and we weren't surprised to find the pub pretty quiet at 7.45. But we were pleased to find... More

We were staying for the weekend nearby with our three children and decided to try The Ship for dinner on a Saturday. We were happy to find it filled with families and couples at 5:45 and loved the card and board games available to play. The menu was great, we loved the food, service very attentive, and atmosphere could not... More

Went for an afternoon Sunday roast, the Ship has a good selection of beer, great/massive roasts (Chicken/Lamb/Pork/Beef/Nut) plus a pub cat. All good

This is the archetypal London pub with delicious food. Is there anything more? Well OK it is a handsome building; extraordinarily located 32 minutes from the Coliseum walking and 25 minutes from Borough Market.

This is a fine, unpretentious local pub. It offer a pretty interesting, and well prepared menu, and a very solid range of good beers. It is one of many similar establishments that London is fortunate enough to boast, and one of the staples that makes the UK capital such a joy to visit.

We came to The Ship as jet lagged travelers from the USA. We were shown an excellent menu and the person in charge made suggestions. The meal was made complete by a visit from the Pub cat, Mao (Chairman "Mow"). This place is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood, I will return.

Visited here for a quick bite at lunchtime. Hard to get a feel of the place so my rating may not be as good as it should as the place was practically empty with three other customers. It was lunchtime 1.10 pm so thought there may well be others in attendance. Was met by a pleasant member of stafff who... More

Perfect location to stay for a hen do, separate rooms but all together and interlinking. 20 of us stayed and it was brilliant. Didn't get told off for making noise. Food was average when we ate in the pub and it sold lots of wines but no rum and that's where it lost the star. Not the best place to... More
