Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Popped into the deli a few days ago for some mozzarella and Antonio greeted me like an old friend. He answered all my queries and also gave me some ‘golden nuggets’ of advice. Thank you Antonio!

Bought fresh sausages but only when I got home I realised they were expired 10 days ago. The date on the packet was converted by the price’s sticky label. Cheeky!!

Antonio and his team are very friendly and run a very efficient deli. Small but perfectly formed shop offering a wide range of Italian produce, including lots of cheeses, hams, salami and wine. The Italian eggs are amazing! This shop is a really great find...and we have been visiting for some years. Well done and thank you Antonio for keeping open during the pandemic and keeping everyone safe. Grazie mille!More

Having lived for 4 years in Italy, I learned to cook Italian food well. But on moving to London despite much searching on the web for a good Italian Deli I have overall been pretty disappointed. Smaller ones have been "just okay" in my book,...whereas a very big one I visited in central London was not only over the top, but charged absurd prices, surprisingly did not stock some of the common Italian foodstuffs, and had zero character or atmosphere. And then I struck it lucky. To actually find an excellent Italian Deli only 20 minutes by bus from where I live. Antonio, the owner, is a truly wonderful person to deal with. And he will go out of his way to source an item if he does not stock it, although this hardly happens. His shop may be small, buy "boy" does he have an incredible selection. Cheeses, pickles, pastes, bread, wine, preserved cold meats, pasta, sausages, arancini, sea foods (frozen), cakes, biscuits, you name it. And really good prices. He also offers deliveries and has seating to enjoy a coffee and home-made toasted Italian sandwiches. As well as being only too happy to discuss secrets of Italian cooking and pass on recipes.More

What a find in Lewisham. From the friendly greeting to the fantastic food. The freshness of the food was first class. Cheeses were amazing. The shop itself is full of little gems from Italy. Fab wines. Antonio is so friendly and helpful. Cannot recommend this...place highly enough. If you are in or near Lewisham - head here for lunch for authentic Italian goodies - you will be so glad you did.More

I go there every so often to mainly buy coffee and sicilian cannoli. I do buy other products too. Antonio and Paulo are very friendly and helpful. I love when Italians go there and speak to each other in Italian. It feels in Italy.

This is a great Italian deli, all imported items many of which aren't readily available outside of Italy. It does great coffee too.

This deli has been in Lewisham for ever! Frequented by all the Italians in the area and anybody who wants fresh, authentic Italian meats and cheeses and produce. The owners are great, lovely people, who welcome you with warmth and affection. Nothing too much trouble, and...they can advise you on coooking too! Good stock of wines. Traditional links with the local church community, which the older Italian generation are very proud of. You can sit outside with an espresso and chat with other customers too. A really lovely cultural experience combined with excellent food and service. Definitely recommend it.More

For years I'd seen or heard about this confection though never able to try one until I popped into this place. My father has been a patron for years and unable to visit for olives he sent me in his place. I took one look...at all the fine food and lost control. This place is the adult version of those stores selling American candy but without the ghastly markup. Fresh and fine ingredients and why yes, a canole for my trouble. I also feel embarrassed that I've missed this place all three years but my wife is looking forward to seeing the results of cooking with choice provisions rather than supermarket nonsense. I'll be backMore

This is a gem of a shop where everyone is made to feel welcome, no question is seen as stupid and there are so many Italian food items and delicacies available for all tastes. Pastas, pulses, oils, drinks, sweets, you name it, it's there. The...deli has lots of lovely items (try the boar sausage). The key attraction for me is the olive oil which comes from Sicily, bring your container, the Italian-style sandwiches and ice-cream are a hit with the children as well as the adults, the coffee is divine. It is worth paying a visit if you're feeling a bit out of sorts if just for the uplifting welcome from Antonio the ownerMore
