I love this place for a functional meal with mates. I used to go regularly after bowling upstairs in the Elephant shopping centre. Huge portions of rice and a meat dish or noodles for about six quid. Quick service and very tasty and filling. But environment is basic and feels like you're sitting in a kitchen. I'll keep going back!

This place looks a bit grotty but if you love massive portions and tasty food your cant go wrong This place has become a bit of a legend in my house, with dares about a 'two place challenge' - which is an impossibility as best!

After bowling on staff night out we decided to go for meal. About 3 of us didnt finish our meal. As soon as we exit the building one staff stated to vomit. After reaching home another 2 staff was sick with another vomitting.

I returned here with friends to the haunt we used to use post ten-pin bowling in the Elephant and Castle shopping centre. There's no luxury here, but you get very generous portions for a very good price. I had a huge plate of Singapore fried rice for under £6. The decor is 'Interesting' and it's quite noisy (all hard surfaces),... More

This place is a dump. The food is avarage but the atmosphere is terrible. The noodles taste like they are super noodles for 20p

Cheap but the staff are so rude, put me right off. Food is nothing special. The soup bowls are quite big.

Reliable and comforting, if you like big bowls of noodles and vast plates of rice. Greasy, sugary, inauthentic, but that's exactly what's needed sometimes.

Just had lunch here and it was great! Had the ho fun black bean noodles, ho fun noodle soup, pork dumplings and the squid. All were very delicious with huge portions! I haven't had a good Chinese like this since moving to the UK and it was great. Staff were also lovely. Knocked a star off as they forgot one... More

It's another warm day with a breeze but inside Tai Tip Mein it was like a oven! Many clients were mopping their brows. I went in just after 12 noon, opening time. I ordered #33 Fried noodles with mixed meats and Chinese tea. The noodles were ok but a bit tasteless, I sprinkled on soy sauce to give it some... More

I have been to this restaurant few times. I usually go to their other branch which is in Cutty Sark, just outside the station. The food is delicious and enormous portion. Great value for money and a very good selection in their menu. Service is very quick, usually takes 5-10 minutes to be served with food. highly recommend.
