I really like this place. I would recommend it is you live near and can collect. BUT do not get delivery because that takes for ever, it's good but not great. A place called zing zing is way better

Don't understand the other reviews. We've used Hot Wok regularly for over 6 months and the food and service has always been excellent. One of the best Chinese take-aways I've had....and I've had a lot. Highly recommended.

I should have read the reviews before ordering. Ordered a meal for delivery - absolutely appalling. The portions are miniscule for the price, Food delivered in 1hr20m when should have been 45m and was completely cold. All of the food seemed old like it had been reheated several times. All the food tasted the same and had no flavour and... More

Have ordered twice, first time the prawn toast tasted incredibly fishy to the point where you start asking questions (I was very sick the following day) second time I thought it may have been something else I'd eaten so gave it another go as its at the end of the road. Dinner for two on a Sunday night – pretty... More

We ordered from here tonight. Waited over an hour for our food and still nothing(we live 5min drive away) called them and they advised it had been dispatched long ago..waited a further 20 minutes before calling to complain and cancel and they did not offer us anything for our troubles. Terrible service. Really hungry and disappointed red!!

Good lord this is bad food. The chicken was dry as sandpaper, the sauce was yellow - not lemon - and even the hoisin sauce was wrong. Don't waste money here, use China's Taste at Highbury Barn.

I should have read the reviews first. The worst take away in many years. Soup just like water. No seasoning a few bits of corn no protein. Ancient crackers. The chicken with cashew nuts glowed orange and tasted as if an entire pack of artificial sweetener had been put in. Alien food and tasted shocking and I couldn't eat a... More

A really bad take away. Food tasted stale ...even the prawn crackers. Tasted like it had been cooked way earlier and reheated poorly. Worse than your average Chinese despite the 'Wagamamarish' pretensions. Obviously rely on match day to survive. Will not be returning.

Fast and fresh. Very tasty. We had the Special Fried Rice, Singapore Noodles, Thai Green Curry, and Chicken with black bean sauce. All tbe dishes were generously portioned and contained plenty of vegetables, including whole French beans! This will be our go to Chinese takeaway.

This place had some of the worst Chinese takeaway I have ever had! We live nearby and gave it a try. Food was greasy, over-seasoned (MSG?) and did not appear to be particularly fresh (soggy vegetables). Probably will survive providing for undiscerning football fans, but very few others I suspect
