Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I had a lovely time while visiting this pub. The security (Dwayne) was the highlight of our night, we felt very safe and we love him !! Nicest security ever !!

Popped in for a quick pint before my dinner reservation nearby. Not a bad pint of Spitfire in a good pub for the many eateries close by.

A lovely pub, with great outside seating. However the female bar staff was extremely rude and made us feel uncomfortable - we were told to leave because she wanted to fill our table even though noone was a waiting for a table. We wanted to...stay for more drinks, but were forced out with a regular (rude and condescending) countdown and made to down the drinks we currently had due to her suddenly enforced time pressure. We won't be returningMore

We were early for our 6:00pm table at a nearby restaurant so popped in for a quick drink. Friendly staff, good choice of beers, lagers, spirits and wine. Quite busy so we had to stand, but a busy pub is a good sign. Would definitely...use again when in the area.More

If you could leave 0 stars I would. Horrible and rude service. Barking and snapping at us and refused to give out two codes for the toilet to me and my girlfriend (yes, the toilets are coded)

Looks good from outside and inside doesn’t disappoint. Maybe smaller than I expected but nothing out of keeping. Reasonable selection of booze averagely kept but if you find yourself outside no problem having a decent pint or two.

We were about 30 people co-workers that wanted to chill out after a long day. We booked the room at the upper floor and ordered pizzas, wines, beers. It was fun and a good place to chat. Nice place to be and I am sure...I will visit again in the future.More

After a long coach journey from Cardiff to London we dropped our bags at the M & S hotel Marble Arch and went walking. Being a hot sunny day temp 26 degree we stumbled upon The George. As a 47 year old mother with my...21 year old daughter I ordered myself a cider and my daughter a Coke. Not very friendly and only one other table being occupied. After 15 mins the barmaid came and asked my daughter for ID. As the weekend was my treat my daughter, remembering who was only drinking Coke, she had no ID on her only her bank card & Universary student. The bar maid shrugged her shoulders and said she shouldn't be in the pub. Surely if she had any cause for concern this should have been addressed at the time of purchase? The glass collector too had a foul mouth and several swear words tumbler from his mouth. Don't be coming back 😡More
