I visited with an elderly friend for lunch and we were not disappointed. We both had cod and chips, which arrived steaming hot. Crispy batter and lovely soft fish. Also, a welcoming feeling to this family run establishment. Highly recommended and we will be back

This was an early lunch for the four of us plus toddler. All the staff were really helpful and friendly which is great when you've got a little one in tow. Its a pleasant, comfortable and clean place and the food was good. We all...had fish and chips of some description, but everything that was coming out looked good. The prices are reasonable given all the increases there have been in the last couple of years ( I noticed a menu in the photos here...its well out of date on prices). We were eating quite early on the Saturday and it was starting to get pretty busy, so it may be an idea to book.More

On a whim decided to visit,Thank God for whims ,service outstanding food outstanding to me a salad is a garnish ate the lot .Varied menu CANT WAIT to go back .

Nine of us attended this here for an evening meal last evening. We were all amazed at the choice the menu offered, and the ambiance of the venue. The staff we extremely helpful and polite, and it was obvious that it was visited many times...by locals the way the staff talked to them. I personally was stuck what to choice off the menu as the had most of my favourites on it but went for the swordfish in the end which was wonderful and my wife had Rock which you very rarely see nowadays and was equally as good. There was not a morsel left on any plate on our table which just goes to show good the chefs were, and we all left very happy Like to thank all the staff for a very good eveningMore

The restaurant is centrally located off Eltham High Street. The restaurant is extremely clean, covid secure, the food is excellent, and the staff are professional and friendly. It was my first visit with a mate, and we were not disappointed. I had large cod and...chips, and my mate had plaice and chips; we were not disappointed. The portions were generous, and the food was hot. I had flapjack with ice cream for desert; it was to die for. I'll certainly be visiting again very soon. I've been coming here from when I was a child, my mum was a regular. Place has had a revamp, very comfortable and food always to a high standard. Staff are so so welcoming. They now do live music nights. So if you fancy a...meal and a dance to Elvis and other acts you'll be in for a good night!More

Ordered the sea bass with mixed vegetables and 'baby' potatoes. It was terrible, no chef with any self-respect would have allowed this out of the kitchen. The sea bass was overcooked and unseasoned with a bright yellow sauce with only the vaguest hint of a...lemon flavour. There was no attempt to disguise the fact that the mixed vegetables had come out of a frozen packet, they were tasteless and spongey, The 'baby' potatoes were just small potatoes, slightly hard and again totally tasteless. The glass of white wine was of an appallingly low quality, surely the cheapest possible available. It cost £15. I've eaten the sea bass at Azzurros many times (£13.95), theirs is heavenly with fresh vegetables, tasty small tomatoes, garlic/oil sauce and succulent fish, nicely seasoned so, Eltham Grill, you have absolutely no excuse for serving that to a customer. My wife said her fish and chips were 'ok'. If this restaurant can't cook anything other than fish and chips properly they should take the other things off the menu.More

Excellent meal and service just has I remembered has a kid. Great atmosphere, spotlessly clean. Well worth a visit. Beats legends.
