Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I am truly obsessed with this shop ever since discovering it about a month ago! It is a long overdue discovery because I've been living not too far from it for quite some time now. But like every treasure, the fact it was hidden from...sight for so long means its discovery is even more precious. A rather unassuming shop front hides a world of culinary wonders inside. Everything I'd want from olives from around the world, to honey, hummus made fresh in store, Italian chocolate wafers, Middle-Eastern spices and all manner of delicious fresh fruit and vegetables. I am intrigued. I am transported. I never want to leave. Take all my money! I will be back many times over.More

such a lovely place. both a take out hot food counter and a grocer. the food is fresh, yummy, and creative. the staff are equally as lovely. i recommend for a casual lunch, catering for your party, or as your grocer!

Phoenicia is one of the many reasons to relocate to Kentish Town. It is a super shop stocking all conceivable manner of food, exotic or not from the ingredients you'll need to cook Ottolenghi to a packet of crisps. There's a French section for the...local frogs and a restaurant attached where you can eat in or take away a tempting selection of Middle Eastern treats. Not forgetting the butcher's shop and the ever-rotating chicken rotisserie which makes the best roast chicken in town. That plus an array of the prepared salads and you are ready for the perfect picnic. I sometimes stop in just to have a reecy and check what's new in....and there's always something. And of course the dazzling selection of olives and bunches of fresh herbs right at the door......More

We had two lovely wraps and the price was great, BUT the guy working behind the counter in the deli was genuinely rude and obviously disinterested in serving us, and clearly got annoyed when asked questions. Maybe he was having a bad day, but we...got very disappointed as the store is lovely and the staff is usually really nice/helpful!More

I have shopped at Phoenicia for many years. Whenever I go visit family I like to bring them a selection of Lebanese sweets and Phoenicia was just the place to get them. Until today (around12h30)! I needed 2 trays with a selection of sweets. This...came to just above £8.00. I had other items I wanted to get from the shop so asked if I could pay for the sweets at the main till (as I have always done in the past). I was told "no". When I went to pay by card I was then told that I had to pay cash as it was under £10.00. I did not have the cash with me and pointed out that my shopping would come to more than £10.00 once I completed it. Still no. I left the sweets behind, proceeded with the rest of my shopping and out of interest asked at the main till whether rules had changed and sweets purchased at the counter had to be paid there. I was told that I could indeed pay at the main till just like I had done many times in the past! And 1 more thing... my shopping also came to £8.52 yet I was (surprisingly) able to pay by card for it at the main till. To say that I am disappointed by the service of 1 member of staff is understating it. I will opt to go to Edgware Road/Marble Arch from now on. Phoenicia is after all not the only Lebanese shop/restaurant in London!More

We love this place and live across the road Amos we visit often. They have a great selection of middle eastern and Asian groceries. The fresh olives are great and condiments from around the world. Very highly recommended.

We walked passed the ship and realised there were now seats to eat in. We had a selection of Eastern and Mediterranean sweet for breakfast as well as fresh orange juice and coffee and it was lovely.

I used to work in KT and would find myself here almost every single day for a halloumi, chicken and tabouleh wrap. Fantastic fresh food, primarily from places surrounding the Mediterranean.. with attached shop next door. Great food, efficient service, and good prices. High recommended...for a fresh and delicious lunch in, or takeaway.More

I love coming to this supermarket/delicatessen/takeaway place! Its food range fascinates me and makes shopping much more interesting. I love their takeaway falafel, tabbouleh and hummus boxes and they are quite reasonably priced too.
