I loved this place, the tuna "pizza" is incredible and the pork buns (were) to die for. Nearly a year ago the food changed slightly, possibly a change in chef? The peanut sauce is now incredibly spicy, nearly inedible. Still nice for some lunch but...More

Worst eating experience in London in years. Can't leave fish for that long on a counter then try to serve it! Disaster waiting to happen. Never go. Marble Arch version infinitely better. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Health hazard.

Myself and 2 friends secured this deal for the Saturday brunch offer from Time Out. Having only been to the Marble Arch branch previously I had high expectations. We arrived for 1pm and left by 3pm, stuffed but satisfied! The service was fantastic from the...More

We went to this branch on a Saturday for the buffet service. The food is average. The best product is anything related to fish or shell food. Otherwise and apart from the chicken is quite average. The smoke ribs were too smokey and you could...More

This place is still great, but have to say I believe it used to be better. My partner and I had a very early dinner and the restaurant was empty. We asked to sit in a corner, but the hostess said we couldn't as the...More

We got the offer off time out for £25pp, unlimited buffet food and a carafe of wine or jug of cocktail. Turns out what they claim is a jug is a glass so you only get one glass per person. The people next to us...More

Booked Kurobuta through an offer in Time Out for their Sunday buffet which is in the basement room. No idea what to expect but we we're pleasantly surprised. They give you a 3 hour window, we were booked in for 3.00pm and on arrival we...More

The biggest let down was the service, firstly we called to make a reservation for 9pm; they said there was nothing available until 10pm. But we managed to find a booking online for 9.15pm... Wasn't too impressed with that. The waiting staff aren't very attentive,...More

Tasty and simple Izakayas style Japanese food with an interesting menu in a modern, young setting. The atmosphere was casual and the interior a bit too dark, but apart from that my friends and I enjoyed the food very much and had a pleasant Sunday...More

Kurobuta, you fooled me - in the best possible way! - with the excellent food I enjoyed at Taste and Meatopia (the miso aubergine with candied walnuts, and jasmine smoked lamb chops, since you ask) - I promised myself I would visit as a consequence,...More

Kurobuta takes its inspiration from the Izakayas of Japan, where tapas-style plates are served to accompany drinks in a casual setting. Originally a pop up, Kurobuta has been such a hit with diners who fell for the unique chilled out ambience and exceptional Japanese food, it’s now a permanent fixture in London’s Marble Arch and Chelsea’s Kings Road.
