We loved the Spinach, Parmesan & soft egg pizzette. We split a few small plates before heading across the street to the Palace Theatre to see HP & the Cursed Child. I may have been the only person there not drinking alcohol, but it was...More

Oh dear. The new business rates are so unaffordable it’s made them shut up shop. Hopefully there is a lesson to be learned. THE NEW BUSINESS RATES ARE UNAFFORDABLE UNLESS OF COURSE YOU ARE LUCKY AND GET AWAY WITH IT

Downhill from last visit, e.g. fritto misto had cod and courgette in too high a proportion, some food arrived tepid and £20-odd for very ordinary house wine is too much.

The food at POLPO is always good, and New Year’s Eve was no exception. We were late for our table due to traffic and roads being closed off, but they managed to find us a new table quickly and were very friendly. Happy new year!

Happened upon this place recently. It is just fantastic, great atmosphere. Small Italian plates but you could just have one for lunch. Staff are friendly and although there were no tables we were able to sit at the bar. Meatballs are fab and pizzas delicious.
