I spotted this place walking past to the Fashion & Textiles museum and couldn’t resist trying it out as I visited Vietnam last year. Immediately the wonderful food smells took me back there, the staff were friendly and efficient. We ordered the Bain Mai rolls and fresh mint tea and weren’t disappointed. I had the shredded pork version and requested no chillies, my companion had the char Sui pork one. The rolls were beautifully crisp on the outside and light inside, the meat really tender and tasty with lots of lovely fresh filling. There’s lots of space to eat in at the back of the store, with clean loos too. I will definitely be going out of my way to come here again and sample some more of the menu.

I love coming here to eat in or take away the Chicken Pho with extra ginger. Excellent service, the team are very friendly. There is nothing better than this warming broth. Pleased they are open later now so that we can go after work. I can't comment on other dishes as I love this too much - no desire to try anything else, it is the pick me up, detox Pho, nourishing for the soul. My friend loves the Coconut chicken, again a complete coco local, same order every time. Why change someting when what you order you know works. Highly recommend going here for your soups, salads, kombucha. The coffees, teas look really good. Thank you GingerLee:)

Visited on a Friday night. Quick and easy service. Ordered a Lotus Stem Salad. My wife had the Papaya Salad. Great choices and very authentic. Great Vietnamese food also selling Drip Coffee and a Vietnamese Special Egg Coffee. Great place, sensibly priced and just around the corner from London Bridge Station.

This was such a disappointment. The spring rolls (both veg & pork) had been made hours earlier and kept warm - they had dried out. The chicken was bland and tasteless, the meat in the beef curry stew had large lumps of fat attached and the taste had also been boiled away. You order on their App which means you pay a 12.5% service charge before you get the food - I always thought a service charge was complimentary but not here. The service was average, we had to ask for plates and glasses. Sitting in, there is no alcohol licence. Give it a miss.

Food ok, but far from fantastic. We found that mostly, dishes lack flavours, especially the coconut chicken which had hardly any sauce or coconut in it. Almost everything tasted a little bland, and considering the price, this is not good value for money. The only dish which tasted really nice was the prawn summer roll.

Discovered Caphe House when I was on my food tour in Bermondsey. I don't drink coffee much but Vietnamese coffee is a coffee that I drink because I love the sweet layer of condensed milk at the bottom. Vietnamese egg coffee is even better with an additional layer of egg whip on top which is sweet and dreamy. You can also dip biscuits and stuff to indulge the egg whip gooey layer which I felt was similar to liquid meringue. Although the coffee overall is extremely sweet, I highly recommended this heavenly coffee. As well as coffee, I also tried the pho but it was a bit too expensive and the broth could have been better as it was not bold enough and the pho noodles were not as silky as this other place I tried. In terms of price, it was a bit expensive for the mixed beef compared to other places.

When a regular orders a gluten free option and you get the order wrong do not ask them to scrape away the egg noodles. Replace the meal. & Don’t humiliate them in front of the whole place. Oh. And maybe do food safety training. You can make people very sick.

I ended up staying in the Bermondsey area for two nights and frequented Caphe House twice I enjoyed it that much! This place is a must if you are in the area, a little gem of a place. I had the Prawn summer rolls to start so fresh and delicious and tried both the Chicken and Beef brisket vermicelli hue for the mains. Took me back to my holidays in Vietnam ☺️ You will not be disappointed, friendly staff and great service too what’s not to like…..

Very, very tasty food. Excellent value for money with really generous portions, and absolutely delicious Pho. The egg coffee is killer - probably the nicest hot drink I've had in London. Definitely worth a trip to the area

Today went to buy a take away lunch from the shop. It wasn't my first time to buy there. Normally, the service is acceptable without too much issue. However, I would like to share my experience with other peoples. Caphe House located just next to my office in 2mins walking distance. I went out around 1:20pm to the shop for order take away. I ordered my food around 1:30pm and waited outside of the shop. There were a few costumers bought food after me and also waited for the food outside as we all got the device to notify you when the food is ready to collect. When the time passed, it was around 5 - 7 persons who ordered the food after my order have been picked up their food. I noticed because when i was standing outside, it was quite a bit of peoples were waiting for their food. They are all gone. So Caphe House just made their food before they are preparing my food. I waited 30mins, 2pm, to pick up my food. I wasn't happy for the service, as they didn't mentioned why it was so much delay for the food etc. I leave an bad comments in Google for the services i received. I gave 4 stars for the food there but 1 star for the services. and I got a comment back from the manager with his apologies as he got 2 sick staffs today. however, his comments also included "Please go elsewhere for your future lunches, perhaps fast food would be quicker. " In my opinion, it is understandable to have a day with staffs shortage. I would expect if it is the case, before I order the food, he could tell me it will be a long waiting time, so I can have the option not to buy there today. instead, I got the comments back from the manager. 30mins is 50% for normal person lunch break, i was just standing outside of their shop to wait. I could go to other places if he told me in advance. But I got the offensive comments back from the Manager. I do not feel it is a good approach for a restaurant. but anyway, the food is good but the service are terrible. I won't go back there anymore because the manager asked me to go somewhere else. I ordered the most expensive food from the store and they won't like to make it because they want to make other food as it is more simple. It is the way how it was. Sorry for the long review but it is the service i got unfortunately.

Caphe House offer excellent, excellent, vietnamese food. I live in Ha Noi, Vietnam, I eat a lot of vietnamese food, daily. Caphe House's broth base for their Bun Hue is *incredible*. Very tasty better than in Vietnamese street food places in Ha Noi. Addictive and tasty. London prices aside, it's a very good place with friendly staff. Highly recommended!!

Really disappointed with this establishment - both our meals (pho and beef and rice) were really disappointing and overpriced!

Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighbourhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
