Popped in for a cup of tea early one Friday morning. Staff were really friendly, Masters has been established since 1983, and the fact it is still going despite the shear volume of high street coffee chains on Blackfriars road is a credit to them;...pret, Costa and Starbucks within a few minutes. My tea was a lovely large cup. The cafe was clean. The toilets were clean. They had a great value breakfast menu, salads, omelettes, jacket potatoes and sandwiches for lunch, all reasonably priced for London I have to say! I snapped some photos for people, but would definitely visit there again if I was in the area!More

Excellent home-cooked food

Excellent home cooked food, at a very reasonable price and served by charming staff …what more could you want? The food and the service are consistently very good and we love going here.

Top marks!

We had our office Christmas party here, 40 of us, and *everyone* thought it was absolutely excellent. Freshly cooked, tasty food served with a smile…and at a very reasonable price. Five-star experience.

Missed in Lockdown

One thing about Lockdown was my visits to Masters but now we are heading back to offices it was key to go and see the staff and have a breakfast they serve so well, great to see them all again and the food is just...as good Hopefully many more costs to come in near futureMore

Salty lasagne mess

2nd time there, first time fine for a sandwich but today I got lasagne (takeaway) and it was just full of salt, so much it was inedible. I will not be revisiting, guys you cannot sell a lasagne that is so salty you cannot eat...it. Not satisfied at all.More

Great Find

Wonderful Cafe

This Cafe was about 2 blocks from our hotel and we had breakfast here each day of our 3 day trip to London. The staff were efficient and friendly. Food was excellent and we thought great value for money. Portions and quality were great. Coffee...was great, and by day 2, our waitress just brought us our coffee orders, to start us off. I would not hesitate to recommend this Cafe to anyone. We were a party of 4, and not one day were we disappointed.More

Outstanding

We took our two teenagers for a late breakfast to Masters. Soon as we walked in the staff were so welcoming. Such a fab atmosphere with the best breakfast you could ask for. Can’t wait to go back againMore

Lunch Drop-In

We had just got of the train at Waterloo and were searching for our hotel in what seemed like monsoon season. Feeling soaked and fed up, we stopped off for a quick bite to eat to galvanise ourselves, not expecting anything very much. How wrong...we were, we shared a lovely tuna sandwich and one of my comfort food favourites, fish finger sandwich. Both were freshly prepared, the fish wasn't bog-standard pre-formed and the coffee was far better than some well-known chain coffee shops offer. Just the job to send us on our way to eventually find the hotel.More

Great place, lovely people

One of my favourite cafes in London, Terrific range of food, excellent service from friendly staff. I am so glad to see they have re-opened. The best almond croissants ever.

Love this place

We hadn’t been to Masters until covid hit as we were never around during the day but now it is a weekly staple. Great selection of food and always delicious.

Good straightforward cafe
