Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had a wonderful meal here this evening, love the mix of Japanese and Peruvian dishes to chose from. We picked a number of dishes to share, all were so good, amazing flavours and presentation. The black cod was out of this world, lovely mochi to...finish too, service also great, very attentive Indian waiter. Loved it here, really nice dining room too with good chilled music. Hope this place gets good custom as we were the only diners, the food is amazing so deserves popularity, as mentioned the miso black cod dish was as good as many a Michelin star dish I have had in the past.More

A quiet place for a cosy meal. Good Japanese with limited choice however. Service is courteous but a bit cold. Count on some 50 GBP pp

I had dinner with my wife and some friends on Saturday. We sat in a comfortable and private alcove, which was charming. We ordered a selection of several small plates to share, along with a couple of bottles of an excellent Malbec. We had a...selection of the mochi to end the meal, all of which were delicious. The food was all perfectly prepared and the staff were pleasant, accommodating and available when we wanted them. The food was all delicious and the four of us all had a great time. We’ll be back on our next visit to London.More

The place is cozy and modern. A fusion between Japanese and Peruvian food. The ceviche, tacos and toro tuna were delicious!! Worthy paying a visit

The staff were super attentive and the food surpassed expectations. We had the bonus of one of the private areas downstairs and we asked for a selection of their favourite dishes; truly fab-u-lous. Nora is lovely; thank you. We had a great night out

The worst service I have ever seen in London at any restaurant. I made a reservation the day before, turned up and the man at the door said, "Oh I don't have your reservation. I was here myself taking calls and don't remember you"...I showed...him the call was connected for over a minute. No apology, no attempt to try and find a resolution. There's no need to bother with this old and shoddy restaurant when London has such a plethora of exquisite Japanese restaurants.More

Dont get me wrong, food was tasty. But super small portions (£28 for miso cod, seriously????) Overall bill was £100 (£75 without the alcohol) and I left feeling peckish. Very disappointed by the 'atmosphere': decor looked cheap, you would expect a nice romantic setting for...this style of restaurant. Before the restaurant closed, we could hear the hoover, loud noises of people cleaning around. This was a real let down!More

We have just visited this restaurant during our trip to London. We booked due to its ideal location near the theatre. We often visit Japanese restaurants, therefore we were excited to try Uni. The menu was a little difficult to work out, so we decided...to try the Chef’s Selection Maki sushi. We had miso soup to start, which was pleasant. A small salad then arrived alongside a small plate of sushi. The sushi wasn’t well presented and just placed on a black plate. The sushi itself was very small (tiny mouthfuls) which I knew would not be enough for my partner. There were only 3 different sushi types on our ‘selection’: two of these were salmon and one was vegetables. We did feel that 3 different flavours was a little disappointing. To be honest, the sushi bought in M&S lunch selection choices is on par with the sushi served here. After an underwhelming, very small plate of sushi, we were offered desert included in the set meal: ice cream or icecream coated in creamy rice. Only one plate arrived, with two tiny balls (in half) of icecream coated in rice. This was a small portion for 1 person, never mind to share! We presumed a second plate would arrive, as we had both ordered the chef’s selection, however it never did and we presumed we were to share. We payed the bill (£85!) very quickly and left. If you are looking for high quality sushi, look elsewhere. This is a shame as the service was very good and the restaurant environment is very nice. We won’t be rushing back here.More

We came here as a group of friends looking for quality Nikkei dishes in London. We were thoroughly impressed with the variety on the menu but after watching some Japanese classics arrive on a table nearby, we ordered Teriyaki, Wagyu and Tataki instead. They were...all excellent options and I also highly recommend the lobster ceviche if its on the specials menu.More

Early evening looking for a decent meal, restaurant worryingly quiet for 8pm but reviews were largely good. Service was very good although we would have appreciated a bit more advice from the waiters. We had crispy squid which was good and tempura fresh vegetables which...were disappointing. Thick chunks of mostly green and red pepper, couldn't decide if they were meant to be cooked or raw and not at all good value. The chicken was delicious with the most enormous corn kernels ever and so was the duck although it looked as if it had snowed salt flakes all over it. Along with a decent glass of wine it was a pleasant meal. It also quite rightly got a lot busier. Would definitely eat there again but I do wish that they would put the actual price of the meal on the menu rather than sneak a 12.5% service charge.More

The food was great, the service was unbelievable wrong.... literally 6 sitting on the table and waitress crossing all over to give plates. Are you kidding me it is a nice restaurant not a hamburger place. No air conditioning!!! I’m serious we were melting hot...and we even got “the romantic table” with no air conditioning or air at all!!! So we change one level up! Again no air conditioning and serving raw fish?!?!? Any how the food was very good but I have to be very honest being over 25 degrees inside a London restaurant and having the waitress crossing the table to serve instead of walking a couple of steps was unexpectedly disappointing. Specially for a place like this.More

I normally only leave reviews when food is bad and I’m a pretty big food snob. Typically to get a decent meal in London it’s 75£ a head~ we didn’t drink alcohol but the bill was 48£ each w the chefs selection which was the...best quality sashimi I’ve ever had in London. The salmon avocado roll melts in your mouth. Everyone must know about this place and try it at least once. Loved loved loved!!More
