Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Not sure why this place has so many bad reviews. My friend and I went last night(18th December 2021) and although the restaurant was full, the staff were attentive and the sushi was delicious and arrived fast. They have a very good system through which you order your sushi and it was clear how it worked. It is only £20 per person and the amount of sushi you are able to consume is much more than £20s worth so you are definitely getting your money’s worth. Overall a very good experience and would definitely go back! If you’re looking for somewhere with good sushi for a cheap price I would highly recommend!!

Very nice place in soho for sushi. Food was fresh and tasty The chicken skewers 5/5 Spring rolls 5/5 Soup 5/5 Shrimp 3/5 Butterfish sashimii 5+ Soft shell crab roll 4/5 Other sashimi, nigiri and rolls 5/5 Took the open menu includes 8 hot dishes and 6 rounds of great variety of sushi for 20+ pounds. We barely reached round 4. Has service charge. We were served within 15 min of ordering although place was crowded so fast serving. I like the decor and traditional seating but did not find it comfy. Maybe if cushions were more puffy as i felt like sitting on hard material. There are tables and chairs seating also but it was full during our visit

Feel a bit rush. However, foods was good for buffet, but quite slow service. A few staff looked a bit stress.

I have frequently gone to sushi eatery as I love sushi and have always thought their deal was decent. I recently went with a friend during the eat out help out deal, excited to get a good discount on all you can eat sushi. Everything was going well (although tables not very social distanced) until me and friend (2 females) ordered our 3rd round of 6 plates of sushi. The waiter then aggressively looks at our order and proceeds to ask if we are SURE we want THAT much sushi and then turns the order over and begins to calculate how many pieces we ordered (something like 36) and continues to question how the two of us would be able to finish that much and how there is an additional charge if you waist anything. This is the first time I have ever been shamed about the amount I have ordered (which honestly was a normal amount) at an ALL YOU CAN EAT!? I found the the waiters comments extremely rude and sexist as there were many other groups of two with men in their party who were not questioned at all about their orders. Shaming someone (regardless of gender) for how much/what they order is never ever okay and could be extremely detrimental (e.g if someone had eating disorder/critical thoughts) to the experience of the customers. Your staff should honestly be trained in normal manners.

Very odd experience, we were led down into the bottom floor and were immediately brought over to a table with a couple already seated despite there being 4 or 5 empty tables in the room - I asked if we can move to another table due to coronavirus and the waitress seemed very annoyed at my request. The first plate of sushi came out very well done, however each round of food we ordered after came in at less quality than the previous - it's like the waiters told them we had already eaten so not to put much effort into them. By the time the third portion had come over it looked like a £1 sushi pack that you'd expect to buy from a supermarket. We had some of our orders incorrect which were obviously cheaper options (cucumber sushi) and sometimes given just 2 pieces of sushi whereas on the menu it's listed as 6 pieces. We were waiting Inbetween rounds before ordering again and after finishing the third dish the waiter cleaned our table without us asking and pointed at the time hinting that we had overstayed our welcome (we weren't even in the restaurant for an hour) The fact that this place is cash only is obviously for tax evasion doesn't set a very good example considering some of the competition in the area I would not recommend this place to anyone and will not be returning

Two of us felt very welcome and attended to. Very good choice of all you can eat buffet, both sushi and hot food. You get 6 rounds of sushi and 1 round of hot food- 6-8 dishes in each round. We previously went there (several times) and in the past previous waiters put us off by not a good attitude. But this time something changed and they were very friendly. The staff recognised us, which was a good surprise as last time we went there staff members and us parted on bad terms (will not mention details as they really improved). I was hesitant going back to the restaurant but I am glad I went. Thank you and keep up the good work

Not an all you can eat sushi place. They have a limit of how many pieces you can order and how many times. Service was completely rubbish and totally misleading. The waiter instead of treating us with respect was rude and cursed us in Japanese, which in my opinion was completely disrespectful. I would NEVER go back there and I’d rate zero if I could.

You cannot finish the selection you are allowed to chose, I think the offer comprises enough for everyone. For the price you paid, it is an excellent alternative to the usually expensive Japanese restaurants. The food is good, choice is a bit limited, but we don't complain. Service was fast, even if the restaurant was busy and we really enjoyed. If you like raw salmon, you are in the right place. It is the first time that a all-you-can-eat restaurant includes salmon sashimi in the list, we always had to pay extra. Recommend if you have an appetite. Do not expect a fancy place, you are there for the value!! Be prepared: cash only.

It is a very disappointed place, the sushis do not have taste and the fish (like the tuna) did not look very fresh, like the avocado. I had also the chicken skewer, and could not finish them, the chicken was very bland and I could not taste the sauce. Some sushis were good though, like the salmon nigiri. But I will never com back to only get the salmon nigiri.

The place was uncomfortably cold, despite there being what looked like air conditioning it was off. We had to go out twice to get cash as they don’t take card, which was very inconvenient as the nearest cash point is 3 streets away. The food was bearable at best - none of it seemed to have been freshly prepared and considering the trouble had to go through just to pay for it was just not really worth it. The staff also accused my friends who left before us and tried to pay at the till of trying to leave without paying. It was a real shame especially considering it was my birthday meal and it sort of soured the whole experience for me. Ultimately I’d say don’t waste your time on this place - especially when there’s so many good places around that are warm, welcoming and actually care about their customers.

My sister suggested we go here with my mum after she went with some friends - she said that the food was good, excellent value for money but that staff was slightly abrupt. That was for a weekend dinner so it may just be that the staff was rushed off their feet, because when we went (weekday lunchtime) while they mostly left you alone whenever we did interact the staff was lovely! Very attentive too - taking care to top up my mums tea when she ran out. The restaurant itself simple - we sat near the door so didn’t go downstairs but there wasn’t a crazy amount of decor (the wall mural was nice though). But again, for what you’re paying the food is fantastic, overall this is one of the best value meals I’ve had, especially in London! Can’t wait to visit again.

The place is amazing, and the way how they set the tables is very interesting. You can order six rounds of six different dishes plus 1 round of 8 hot different courses. The staff is nice ,the only bad thing sometimes is the waiting time, but is worthing

Avoid this place. My friend and I attempted to have dinner in this place, the staff shouted at us and rushed us to order. He take the menus from my hands whilst I was ordering and also continue to shout to me until we decided to go. It was the most disgusting treatment I’ve ever experienced in a restaurant and totally unnecessary

Terrible service provided by the waitress. No respect of social distancing, they will squeeze you in a full table with at least 9/10 of the space already occupied. Waitresses handling cash with no gloves right after touches your plate with food, not following the government guidelines for COVID-19.Sushi not bad. Hot food.

I went with my friend to this sushi all you can eat kind of menu. Arrived there, we entered and asked if we can sit outside, the waiter told us it is not possible as they were not serving outside as they where short of staff, they pointed out that they only accept cash. We went to take out money from cash machine and headed back to restaurant. Arrived, my friend went to ladies rest room, meanwhile I got seated at one of the middle tables and waited for friend. When she returned, we moved to next table as no one was sitting there. Waiter came and said we were not allowed to sit at this table, insisting!! We asked questions about the table, if booked, why we couldn't stay there. She pointed out that the table first assigned was for less people, than the one we moved to, for 7 people. Size and covers, SAME!!!! My friend and me were looking forward to try this place, service pretty much careless, next one is waiting kind of way!!! After such bad serving skills and bad attitude, we decided to leave. Anyway, let's hope this experience doesn't happen again, and that they start treating people like people, with kindness at least.
