Went to the Montcalm Hotel with my granddaughter for an afternoon tea just before Xmas sad she was 21. The hotel looks lovely from the outside but the restaurant looks like a motorway cafe. The sandwiches were very stale and past their best. I think...More

A rather disappointing experience. Lovely hotel situated just behind Oxford Street, but the dining area very characterless and dark. No tablecloths - dark brown melamine tables. Service slow - despite being empty. We took my granddaughter on her 21st but definitely would not recommend this...More

The sandwiches were very pretty as the breads came in various colours and each one was tasty. The scones however were the worst we have ever been served. They were like biscuits; crunchy on the outside but with no softness inside. Truly impossible to eat!...More

Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods
cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience.
Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged
between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the
southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of
Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as
pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The
bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it

Although this is a 5 star hotel the restaurant where afternoon tea is served is to the rear of the hotel and has a casual décor (no table cloths) so I see no reason why smart casual jeans could not be worn. There was... More

We are delighted to be one of London's finest afternoon tea establishments. Our quintessentially English afternoon tea is served with the finest bone china crockery and a tiered cake stand full to the brim with mouth-watering finger sandwiches, scones with lashings of whipped cream and jam, cakes and sweet biscuits. Served with premium JING loose teas, or accompanied by a glass of bubbly, it really is an experience every guest just must indulge in.
