First off fabulous decor & atmosphere. Not a spare table in sight. The staff were helpful & accommodating as we had forgotten to let them know I was gluten free. Had the tafelspitz which was very good. Very tender. Partner had sausages which he said...More

If you enjoy good quality Austrian food and a wonderful (authentic) ambience, Fischer's on Marylebone High Street is certainly worth considering. The 'standards' of Wiener schnitzel, potato salad and streudel were all of a very high standard and well priced.

We were unfamiliar with Austrian food but enjoyed becoming acquainted. Good and enthusiastic staff guided us and when they said something was delicious they were right. We came away very satisfied and promoting ourselves to return.

Really enjoyable meal here in a traditional and attractive setting. Top quality service and food is delicious. We kept it simple and had the schnitzel fished with the strudel, highly recommended!!

This restaurant has a lot of character, in the heart of sophisticated Marylebone High Street, the food is excellent with generous portions. I had the famous sausages followed by the largest slice of Sachertorte ever! Service rather slow, as it was so busy, and prices...More

Standards are very high here and it shows! It was a treat to be served. And the food was glorious! The warm strudel is a must.

Called into “Fischer's Restaurant” on Sunday afternoon, 14th May and had delicious apple strudel and coffees. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated in Viennese style, very peaceful and excellent service.

The premises are promising. The service is fine, but smile free. The starter described as "chopped liver" was a large dollop of pate containing liver, chopped liver it was not. Wiener Schnitzel was pale and clearly under fried. It was nothing like the one you...More

Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods
cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience.
Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged
between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the
southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of
Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as
pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The
bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it

I don't think you need to be super smart but it's a lovely Art Deco room so you could make an effort if you wanted to. Think they would be easy either way so it's entirely up to you.....
