I walked past this the other day and it appears to have closed or doing a refurb. When i did eat here the food was very nice but the service was a bit all over the place.

I was looking forward to a Mexican meal and found its just a bar now!! Although the bar did look very nice, just think it shouldn't be listed under places to eat!

No longer serves food despite taking table reservations online. Staff surly and uninterested. We will never attempt to go again

Called in here expecting to find a vast variety of gins and someone who could sell us something other than the bog standard Gordon's. How wrong can you be. Asked for bathtub gin and received a bemused reply (clearly never heard of it and probaly...More

Well executed drinks. In a city flooded with pubs, it is a good break for all that (fantastic) beer selection offered in almost every near corner. They have a good sortment of gins, so don't be obvious and try new nuances.

South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque
white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's
easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with
superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and
Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely
child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to
mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall)
such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming

Streaky Gin, a new concept bar derived from the minds of a cocktail-enthused English Gentlemen and an American girl with Southern charm and a very healthy appetite. The team was hand picked by founder Joe Fournier who's international reputation for creating spectacular bars and nightclubs is second to none. This British/American fusion concept packages the best of both worlds into one quaint little spot. Situated approximately 30 meters from Hyde Park peering over at Kensington Palace, with 2000 square feet of indoor space on two floors, and a further 300 square feet of outdoor patio space, it provides a location for an amazing new product in London in one of the city's most sought after addresses, Palace Gate. The bright entry floor of the venue features restaurant seating, complete with a custom-designed bar, and one-of-a-kind chandelier design hanging from the 20ft ceiling. Passing through a original english phone box are hidden stairs leading down to the "speakeasy' which provides additional seating centered around a hip atmosphere for food, cocktails, games and private cinema screens for entertainment. With the word "GIN" in 2' tall lights hanging above the bar the decor is rustic with an eclectic flare. Combined with the chilled vibe, fun atmosphere and music that encourages you to relax and unwind, it will be your home away from home. Make no mistake, the mixologists with their signature cocktails and the menu with the "brunch-centric" items (served all day) are the stars of the show. Bringing the world-renowned Cricket Nelson, one of the best alchemists the USA has to offer (GQ Mixologist of the year), she will create drinks unique to Streaky's. With dishes that have that Southern American "twang" and phenomenal signature hampers for Hyde Park complete with a cocktail of your choice, it is a gastronomic mecca and will leave patrons delightfully satisfied and coming back for more.
