I see the mixed reviews - but as a New Yorker who frequents many high end restaurants,1 Lombard Street truly delivered. We were a large group for lunch. Food was prepared nicely and service was quite good; I had fish and chips for nostalgia sake,...More

I really enjoy my dinner with friend. We had nice and tasty Dover Sole with some side. The service was fabulous and professional. Thank’s to Attila and Gytis to looked after us.

Standard breakfast meeting joint for City types. Easy. Service is attentive, food out quite fast. Prices are more reasonable than you might think from the look of the place. Solid choice and easy to find as it is right by Bank station.

The room is lovely, but the large menu uninspired. This might be ok, but my food was ordinary. My pear salad starter was fine, but the veal Milanese dry, tough and tasteless. Should be better for such a standard. My friends bangers and mash were apparently...More

A good place to enjoy good food with a large company. I love the bar in the middle of the room and the superb G&T they serve! Food is of high quality but not very innovative menu. One minus point is that the place gets...More

I go here for breakfast periodically. The service is very nice, and you can usually get a table without a reservation. However, I would recommend you make one. The scrambled eggs and the avocado on toast are both worth ordering.

This place used to be good a couple of years ago however I feel it's going a little downhill and is becoming worn. The gentleman's loos had a bad smell in them. The service was slow. However the food was good but could've been presented...More

We had a client lunch here and the Americans loved the fish and chips. We sat in the back restaurant which was lovely and quiet. The food was served quickly which was good, given we had a 1 hour time limit for 2 courses. The...More

1 Lombard Street is not only the Square Mile's most established restaurant but arguably it's best placed, sited in pole position next to Mansion House, the official residence of the Lord Mayor of London, and directly opposite the Bank of England.Housed in a former Grade II-listed bank, it was opened in 1998 by former banker Soren Jessen and comprises a restaurant, Brasserie, private dining and events rooms.Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, five days a week, the bustling 200 seater Brasserie is suited to all tastes, budgets and occasions.Casually elegant, warm and inviting, it features the building's stunning glass cupola – a centrepiece dome designed by Italian architect Pietro Agostini. The food here is comforting and classic - the lamb cutlets and salt and pepper squid are genuine City favourites. There's a formidable choice of steaks and many delicious desserts, including chocolate fondant with soft pistachio ice cream and passion fruit creme brulee. 1 Lombard Street is where the City meets for breakfast, lunch and dinner, launches new businesses, signs deals and celebrates profits. And it's even where the City gets married.
