This is a great little place. I came along as I was waiting for someone. The butter chicken dish is so creamy and delicious. 10 out of 10 for food and service.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner here. The service was excellent and very friendly, and the food was delicious and came quickly. Generous portions, and all expertly cooked - a wonderful depth to the Vindaloo, for example. I’m sure we’ll be back!

We visited Sat 19/05/18. A few customers but not full. We found the service good, the food ok but the price a little high with the added 12.5% service charge. We may return, but given many similar Indian restaurants this will not be in a...More

My partner and I have recently moved into the area and have struggled to find a good local Indian restaurant. Aroma Spice truly ticked all the boxes! Great food, great service and nice ambience. Good, clean Indian food with no frills. We've ordered takeaway as...More

Encouraged by other reviews of this restaurant, 4 of us ate here this evening. The place was empty apart from us yet we still had to wait over an hour for our food to arrive. We all ordered one main vegetarian dish and were all...More

We had a lovely filling meal here...there's so much to choose from on the menu, we may have slightly over-ordered! Started with papadum and chutneys (which is a must!), a starter each, two curries, two types of rice and two naan breads. Everything we had...More

Went here for a Valentine's day dinner. The service was fairly good - waiters were prompt and polite, etc. We started with popadoms, which were tasty with the relishes. Ordered our main meals, accompanied with naan and roti breads. So basically everything (rice and bread)...More

Description
Located in the leafy suburbs of North London, Aroma Spice is just a short walk from Hampstead Heath and the smart boutique-lined high street. The family-run restaurant has been popular with local foodies since it opened in 1999 and has attracted numerous celebrities including Kate Winslet, Russell Crowe and the Gallagher brothers. The menu focuses on fresh ingredients and bold flavors and uses authentic recipes for classic Indian dishes like biryanis, kormas and masalas. For something a little different, diners can try out Aroma Spice’s unique specialties like Afghani lamb with a rich tomato and garlic sauce; Hari Ali Massala - breast of chicken marinated in spices, spinach mint and coriander. charcoal-grilled and then curried in a rich creamy sauce; Tawa lamb sagwala- a secret recipe with fresh herbs, spices, onions and green peppers being some of the ingredients. Cooked in a flat concave circular griddle made of cast iron. These dishes are tantalizingly tangy and tasty;and shobji beghuni – a delicious Bengali curry with aubergine that’s a real treat for vegetarians.
