About
Azou is one of the most inviting restaurants on Chiswick's King Street. Marking it out most is the high-quality North African food offering fine flavours from Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria. The menu reflects the huge variety of dishes from North Africa - from delicious salads, kemia (mezze) & pastries to couscous and tajines (meat, fish & vegetarian). Choose from classic dishes, or Azou's own, which incorporate traditional and contemporary influences. The focus is on well-sourced and freshly cooked ingredients. Azou has a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere decorated with crafts and artefacts from the Maghreb.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Best restaurant I’ve ever been to. Their Constantine tajine - you actually can’t put into words how amazing it is. I was waiting for a friend who was running late but the staff were super friendly and chatty and didn’t mind. They also serve Moroccan...beer and wine which was delicious too. Will certainly be backMore

We went there after a friend recommended this place and we were not disappointed at all! The food was amazing especially the calamari. We are definitely going to come again for the appetizers. Food tried: Appetizer: Baba ganoush, calamari. Mains: Tajine Marrakech, Tajine Zitoune. The...chef personally came to each table to check on us. Highly recommend this place if you live in Chiswick.More

The food reminded me of eating North African food with family when I was younger. It's a charming spot with a lovely atmosphere. The staff are all very friendly too. Highly recommended for an evening of dinner and drinks!

We had a regrettable experience at Azou restaurant. The service was untrained, the lamb quality was poor, and our attempts to communicate our concerns were met with indifference. The environment felt outdated and cold, with low-quality food and inattentive service.

A perfect meal, probably the best I had this year. Nice Lamb falling from the bone with a perfect seasoning accompanied by a fresh salad and potatoes. Service was exemplary, when we used a piece of lemon from the salad to put into our table...water, they not only noticed but immediately brought us some extra pieces of lemon for the water. A step beyond what I would expect. The restaurant is a bit outside of the city, near Hammersmith, but surely worth the trip. They will see us again.More

Discovered Azou on a 10 year old Gordon Ramsey (circa 2012) programme. Azou was in the running for top North African cuisine. So many years on, Azou is a great spot in Hammersmith and only a 2 minute walk from Stamford Brook Tube. It was...really great to see Chef Chris is still heading the kitchen. How kind was he to come out and meet us and take a picture. His family recipes are wonderful and we enjoyed both a lamb and chicken Tagine. A good selection of beverages at reasonable prices. Do try Moroccan wine! Front of house, we were warmly greeted and taken care of by Serge who has also been with this restaurant for many years. He engaged us with memories of having Chef Ramsey there so many years ago. Do try this lovely spot for a wonderful and reasonably priced dinner. Thank you et Merci Beaucoup!More

The food was prepared with a very light hand, the splendid babaganoush permeated with wood smoke, and the tajines and couscous ordered were met with happy approval. Highly recommended.

This is an authentic Berber, North African restaurant. Coming originally from there, I assure you after having tried almost everything from the menu that recipes are original, tasty and fulfilling. The restaurant itself is cozy and has a very relaxing environment. I recommend to pre-book...your table as it's intimately spaced.More
