Great menu, the mussels were divine and what a selection of Belgium beers, can not wait for my next visit. Friendly staff and reasonably priced

The place is nothing special. The restaurant is based underground. The service is fine. The taste of food is poor. Also the catalogue hasn't many options.

It was my daughter's 21st birthday and, as she is a particular fan of mussels, we booked a table at 8pm. Got there about an hour early so had a drink in the downstairs bar. Pretty hot and sweaty down there but, thanks to the excellent staff at the door, we were shown to a table about half an hour... More

My partner and I always visit Belgo when we are in London. It is usually busy with a wait for tables at peak times, but it is worth it. There is an extensive beer list and a good choice of wines too. The food is always excellent and delicious. There are a wide range of mussel dishes available as well... More

Unfortunately the system was down when we arrived at Belgo, so for an 8.30pm seating we weren't seated until 9.23pm! They did make up for this by offering the first round of drinks free and gave us 20% off the total bill. The downstairs beer hall has a great atmosphere and the drinks selection is excellent. Food is average- I... More

Booked at Belgo for a pre-theatre dinner. At the entrance where they check people in it was absolute chaos. There was a huge queue of people who hadn't booked and were waiting for tables and a lot of people who had booked also waiting to be taken to tables. Having given in our name the girl pointed out the waiter... More

I have visited this restaurant, which specialises in mussels, a number of times and on every occasion the food and the service has been exemplary. The food is a pleasure to eat, there is a fantastic range of beers (perhaps not the cheapest ever) and the staff are always friendly and helpful. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody.

Description
Set in a former warehouse in Covent Garden, Belgo Centraal's staircase descends into a Beer Hall with long refectory tables waited on by staff in Trappist monk outfits and head sets. But this is no silent order; it's bustling and noisy with many customers tucking into steaming bowls of mussels in a variety of broths and platters. There are also two main dining rooms and a selection of more intimate dining booths. Seeking something substantial? The stews include Moules Blanches cooked in Bruges beer with smoked bacon, all served with frites. From the Rotisserie, choose from beer basted spit roast Belgian chicken or duck, or peruse the extensive main menu which includes the veggie-friendly Artichoke stuffed with Wild Mushrooms, Asparagus and Pine Nuts. Of course, there are over 50 Belgian beers to taste, including Fruit Beers in varieties such as cherry or banana!
