A really good pub, with friendly staff and a good range of local cask ales, as well as the "usual suspects". Gets very busy later in the week, doesn't open on the weekend.More

The service is friendly and the drinks are good. The venue is cute, with a small outdoor area. Made us feel very welcome in London

Went in for few drinks as we wondered close to our hotel. Friendly but nothing out of the ordinary but does seem popular with locals. People stand outside on sunny day but when it rained it was jam packed.

We came across this little pub not far from the Hilton Bankside. Lovely local crowd. Good beer. Good prices.

Called in for an early evening drink. Ordinary back street pub but paid £12.50 for a mediocre beer and a double Gin and Tonic. I know I'm 'northern' but this was too much. I'll not be back

Stopped here on a Wednesday evening for a quick drink. The pub was busy, with people also standing outside chatting. Service was quick and efficient. A half pint lemonade was £1.40.

Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard,
the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond
any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some

browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street,
foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old
foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks
of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest
