I joined a group of 8 for mid week dinner. The service and food was superb - scallops followed by lamb. The restaurant is set in a period courtyard which adds significantly to the atmosphere. I thoroughly recommend a visit - particularly for a special...More

Don't normally write reviews but I had to give this place a 5* rating for the outstanding service. We were a big group having Christmas lunch and there was some confusion over booking my vegan meal so the restaurant didn't have one ready in advance....More

Cut through Ely Place to the Bleeding Heart Yard. Lovely food, great wine, nice service and although a bit pricey worth the cost for a great meal. Go jewellery shopping after you’ve eaten!!

We visit here regularly and unlike so many other regular haunts, it retains its standards for both service and food. Particularly impressed on this occasion by the Sommelier; discreetly spotting the need to change a champagne glass with little fuss and professionalism rarely seen. The...More

It's been years since I've eaten at The Bleeding Heart and I've been trying to get back there for ages. We went last night in a group of 12 and it was perfect. We had to preorder from the Christmas menu and everything was amazing....More

Had a business dinner here and it was great. Nice round table which is good for eye contact and easy conversation with more than one person. Service was good as was the food. I had the beetroot salad, sea bass and passion fruit sorbet. We...More

23/11/17 The Bleeding Heart Restaurant is a great experience hidden away in the middle of London. We’ve been a few times and it’s always good. The layout and decor are very traditional with a rabbit warren of rooms hidden away in a semi-basement area. The...More

Dined here, an expensive item of clothing, with strong emotional attachments, was lost and was held to be almost certainly the fault of another customer; this was a private function and the staff attitude to clients would have been funny in Fawlty Towers – the...More

Inner London’s busiest streets crisscross quiet
cobbled lanes for an effect that can be urbane or

Described by Square Meal as "arguably the finest French restaurant in the City", the Bleeding Heart Restaurant offers modern French food, impeccable service, an award-winning "encyclopaedic" wine list and above all a uniquely welcoming ambiance in a wonderfully historic setting. The perfect Venue for a business lunch or dinner, the warm, wood-panelled Restaurant is also an ideal setting for a romantic "diner a deux": indeed it was voted by "The Times" as the City's most romantic restaurant.
