We arrived at the tiny eaterie just after 12 and shared a table with some tourists Delicious steaming macaroni (£4) was on offer. Another table told us we must have the flour less choc cake (£3).... to die for. Book shop gave us the recipe...More

Heard about from people we were staying with, went in for lunch and had a wonderful time eating great food with the local residents, heartily recommend!

This place is a wonderful find for intelligent chefs and face-stuffing picture book aficionados like me. All you have to do is show up early, pay the bargain £7 price, and be flexible.... They make one meal so you just eat whatever three course lunch...More

Superb food. Menu changes daily. Very friendly staff. Cannot book or keep seats for someone who is coming.

Read the review below as well been coming here for a number of years it's closed on Monday for lunch as only open lunch. On Tuesday its veg day gets very busy on Fridays you can have a bottle of red (it's 2009)and white wine...More

This place was a gem of a find, they are a bookshop esentially, but at lunch time, they pick a random cook book and prepare a 3 course meal for a paltry £7. Each visit is a new experience, love it.
