Admittedly my expectations were high for the Cinnamon club and I went with a colleague from the US who was visiting. I can't express our disappointment with all aspects of the visit. The food was overpriced for what it was - it was not exceptional in any way. I would have paid a third of the price in a lower... More

Second visit in 2 weeks because the food offerings are superb and a surprise reunion with old colleague seemed worth a treat again. Staff all very respectful and keen to please but o the bill!! We took the set menu but were charged individual course prices, so queried it and back it came at the same total- £150 for 2!... More

First time, impressive place however, table booked for 8:45 and nearly 9:30 before ready. Service was iffy and food was average - pink lamb was well done. Asked how was meal and one of our table said "adequate" and no response Don't think I will be returning

I have been before and was worried that maybe my memory and expectation from last time would be too high, but it was stunning once again. We all opted for the set menu of three courses for £29, which we thought to be excellent value. The staff are attentive and friendly, and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere to it.... More

I have been to this restaurant many times over the years. If our experience last night was typical The Cinnamon Club is losing its way. Things got off to a bad start with a large business group some of whom we totally drunk at 6.30 pm. I know the restaurant can't help this but when the second glass was broken... More

We treated ourselves to dinner here on a recent visit to London. The restaurant is located near Westminster Abbey, and the dining room is an old library, with shelves of old books around giving a great atmosphere. Everything we chose was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented, and the service was friendly and efficient, as you would expect. Overall, a wonderful... More

Nice lunch of finely judged starters and excellent main courses. Lovely room and good service, if a little frosty from one waiter. Hope to return soon.

...I have to say when this was booked for a work related dinner I was delighted.... unfortunately as with many things when you have high expectations they just cannot be met. We started in the cocktail bar downstairs - firstly it was cold - and being Scottish that isn't something I normally complain about... putting that aside we looked forward... More

Second visit to Cinnamon Club and this time didnt enjoy food at all.The bombay vegetables were luke warm and unexciting. The venison was ok and well cooked but the rest of the dish was plonked on a plate.Didnt bother with a dessert as I didnt want a pannacotta/creme brulee. Wont bother going back.

Challenging the notion that Indian cuisine can only be created using age-old recipes and ideas, The Cinnamon Club demonstrates how evolution and adaptation can create a new chapter in gourmet excellence. Housed in the Grade II listed former Westminster Library, a stone’s throw from London’s Westminster Abbey, The Cinnamon Club’s neo-colonial feel fits perfectly with its distinctive style of Indian haute cuisine.

Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
