Came in for a Sunday roast, as the price was 17.5£ i was expecting it to be a little bit better than what i got. Two thin slices of beef, watery gravy and three potatoes.. very nice service, friendly and welcoming! We also came in when there was live music. no offence but if you want live music in your... Good roasts. Nice beers. Amazing location. Outdoor seating. But very very popular, if you haven't booked when it's nice and sunny forget it. Love it.

Went for Sunday lunch. Very average, meat not fresh and just reheated. Congealed gravy and very minimal amounts. Veg bland, poorly cooked and tasteless. Expensive comparative to quality. Most beers not in service. Staff were good and friendly. Overall disappointing experience.

First visit to the Crown. Nice old pub, central location opposite Victoria Park. Good atmosphere on entry with a warm welcome. Had already reserved a table so was seated very quickly. 2 roast beef dinners & 1 nut roast between us. Portions a reasonable size & food very tasty. Normally don't go for a pudding after a roast but I... More

This establishment is a place for all ages! No glitz or glamour; although management do try to portray this. It's clean comfy, service is good, food is OKAY! (depending on what you like) quite pricey if you ask me!!! The menu is really like all other menus only the names given to these dishes are beyond a joke! Go there,... More

Really nice pub which talks about their principles on line and lives up to them. The food wasn't amazing but the friendly helpful staff and general atmosphere made up for it.

After wedding reception pub gathering. Second floor view was great and balcony was a good place for smokers. Food was good, beer on tap good, mixed drinks not so much

A small group of us went for a Sunday roast before the Victoria Park fireworks display. I was a bit apprehensive due to a few bad reviews I'd seen here but have to say, it was a delicious meal! Food was fantastic; yorkshires and gravy were perfect, there was a mountain of meat and the veggies were fresh and delicious... More

It was a lovely pub, nice wine and setting and staff were great. The food let it down so much. For £17 I was expecting a really good roast dinner, but it was diar. The lamb had a very bizarre, soggy and bitty-like texture. The potatoes were hard and carrots were bland. No other veg. Redeeming part was the Yorkshire... More
