What a find! Loving Italian food and culture, we were delighted to come across Da Mario. With a lovely authentic atmosphere and food reasonably priced for quality fresh cooked dishes, this Ristorante is one not too miss. Definitely going to be our go to when...booked into a theatre production. Also, make sure you book in advance to guarantee a table.More

We took relatives to this traditional trattoria at the northern edge of Covent Garden. It has been there for a few decades, and still has the ambiance of an old-fashioned (in a good way) Italian restaurant. The menu is also mainly traditional with a few...concessions to modern trends in Italian cooking. We shared grilled vegetables with delicious burrata, and some generously topped bruschette, all enhanced by top quality olive oil - two portions were enough for four of us as a light starter. We followed mainly with risotto and pasta dishes which were wholesome, satisfying, and very tasty (no meat eaters amongst us). The desserts we shared, tiramisu, panna cotta, and apple crostata were all yummy and moreish! All this accompanied by a decent, but not overly expensive red Primitivo from Puglia - that's the kind of meal I'd be happy to eat every week, and reminiscing of happy times spent in Italy. Even though this restaurant has the flair of a trattoria, it is still fairly smart which is reflected in the prices - not cheap, but fairly in line with Covent Garden and not over the top. Service was courteous and warm, the Italian way, without being over familiar. Definitely worth a visit, and I hope to return soon.More

We came across this restaurant on our way to the theatre and decided to return for an early dinner. We didn’t have a booking but luckily there was a table vacant and we were welcomed in. Our waiter was attentive and helpful. The menu choice...was good - something for everyone - and so tasty. Sitting next to us were some Americans who’d been coming to this restaurant for years and were full of praise for it and rightly so!More

Visited Da Mario during half term with the all family. It is always a must visit every time we go to London . The food is always delicious and it is authentic Italian cuisine. The atmosphere is amazing and cosy . The ideal dining place...for adults and kids. We have already made our reservation for December when we go and see the Christmas lights in Covent Garden. Highly recommend this gem of a place to everyone.More

Amazing spot to bring clients on a business meeting, they absolutely loved it! The stuff is fantastic, they have great wine and champagne selection for leadership meetings, but also fantastic cocktails for a day dining out with friends and family, and the food is to...die for!!!! My favorite restaurant in London!!!More

We had dinner with our family at this great Italian eatery. Be sure to make reservations well ahead of time. You can send them an email by going to their website. When we arrived for dinner on a Monday night, they were not letting anyone...in that did not have a reservation. We all loved our entrees which included included pizza and pasta. It's a fun casual environment so an easy place to bring kids, as well.More

We were visiting the British Museum and once finished, were famished. This restaurant popped up on my search and I liked the reviews. It was 230p ish and we didn't have a rez, but the four of us were warmly greeted and politely seated. Yay!...Be aware, this restaurant is tiny! We didn't care; every dish looked amazing and smelled so good. We had bruschetta as an app. Hands down, we four agreed, the best we'd ever tasted. Fresh tomatoes and wonderful olive oil. One order has four pieces, we got two orders and gobbled them up. We each got a different main course. I had spinach and ricotta ravioli with a sage butter. Delish. Others got eggplant (appetizer size) Penne Arribiatta, and another pasta dish Tagliolini with broccoli and sausage . We loved everything! I would eat here a lot if I lived in London. Staff was so kind and attentive. Highly recommend!More

Having spent several days searching for a small restaurant which serves very good food I decided on Da Mario. I could not have been more pleased. It was our anniversary and we had a great night, Andrea and his staff are so friendly and the...food is simply gorgeous but leave room for simply the best panacotta with berries. Coffee followed and we were offered liqueurs on the house. They had my favourite "Frangelico" This restaurant is highly recommended but you must book early and thank you Andrea for your funny stories.More

I don’t get the rave reviews. A lovely welcome didn’t materialise into a great meal. Bread was obviously a supermarket baguette chopped up & not warmed. The clam dish had several that were unopened and couldn’t be eaten and were pretty sparse anyway. It was...vastly overpriced & underwhelming. Don’t like leaving negative reviews but I’ve cooked better at home. All this “best I’ve eaten outside Italy” is baffling.More
