Went there on a date. Cosy, decent priced, nice vibe and good customer service making you feel welcome and comfortable.

It's not easy to find a decent traditional curry house in the West End (there are of course plenty of more up-market options). This one is okay but not great. Lamb Khasi Josh and Tandoori Lamb Chops were nice. Peri peri chicken is not really a curry dish. Naans were good, other sides, poppadoms and chutneys fairly average. I prefer... More

The main courses - piri piri king prawns and lamb kahsi josh were absolutely delicious and very well cooked, even though rather small in quantity. Service was good. The tables are rather close to each other and the decor rather tired.

Wanted something a little spicy but didn’t want a curry. I ventured into the Delhi near Soho square, and from the outside it looks clean and inviting. First thing I noticed when I walked in is half a dozen waiters standing around with their hands behind their backs. My opinion, you only need one waiter in the restaurant not five... More

I wouldn't normally look to eat Indian food in Soho, but on a wet winter's night, the Delhi seemed welcoming. We were seated quickly though the table was really a bit small for 4 which meant my chair was knocked every time a waiter passed by. We ordered our food and some beers and service was polite and efficient. Food... More

I go to this restaurant for quite a while 'time. In February, I had a very bad service! Unheard of! The waiter, quite rudely, does not even give us time to eat .... The place was not even too full! Please: check the waiters!

Very rude staff and host. As well as waiters. Food isn't fresh and they aren't accommodating of making food as per customers request. E.g. Spicy or mild. Very negative vibe of the place. Gopal's Indian restaurant round the corner (literarily) is amazing.

Excellent food. Everything prepared fresh. The mix of flavors was delightful. Service was great. Would go here again in a second. We went at an off time so it wasn't crowded at all. It was a random stop and we're so glad we found it.

Just an average Curry... shame as we were expecting some really authentic dishes, but a very westernised curry... Certainly good if you want a quick, tasty curry... but if you're looking for something that you'll remember and then want to go back to this isn't the place.

Description
For nearly thirty years, the Delhi Brasserie Indian Restaurant has served the highest quality Indian cuisine to the discerning diner in the heart of the most fashionable part of London's trendy Soho.

Situated on the Famous Frith Street - just two doors down from the cult celebrity haunt of Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club and just over the road from Soho coffee house institution Bar Italia - the Delhi Brasserie is perfectly located no matter what your needs, with many of London's most popular attractions all just a few minutes' walk away.

Indeed, Ronnie Scott himself used to enjoy the Delhi Brasserie on a regular basis and was our guest of honour when we opened the Soho restaurant in May 1985. Since then, the visitor book has boasted such luminaries as Twiggy, Howard Schuman, Steve Davis (snooker player), Lenny Henry, Elaine Page and many, many others.

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
