While this was not the cheapest fish and chips meal we had on a recent trip home to London, it was certainly the best. The food was exactly as I remembered it and the service was good. It's an old fashioned restaurant to which locals and visitors throng. Don't miss this one on your next trip to London

Fish was soggy and bland!!! And chips had no flavour whatsoever and batter falls apart!!! New ownership has no clue! I feel really sick and disappointed....

It was a traditional chippy with restaurant beside and people came from miles around to sample its wares.however the standard has slipped and whilst still good ,it's nothing like it used to be. A bit of a shame but I suppose that's progress! But there is a god.they don't yet do kebabs!

I think it was In the early 1980's this fish and chip shop opened. A single shop unit serving some of the finest fish and chips you could find anywhere with queues forming outside. After a couple of years it was obvious it outgrew it's premises and moved to it's present location (about 15-20 shops along). Building up it's reputation... More

The takeaway is a traditional chippy - freshly cooked and usually crispy and delicious. Good selection of fish and chip shop staples. nice retro feel. Staff are always friendly and busy, but often only one person running around doing everything. So not always very fast food.

Came here with the family. Was empty inside. Not much of an atmosphere unfortunately bearing in mind the location. Food was bad. Portions look as though they are not big but I wouldn't have even been able to eat more if they had put it. Got coke which was poured into a glass without ice. Nothing I hate more than... More

This has got to be the best fish and chip shop I know of! Everything was perfect; timing, service and taste. I couldn't have asked for anything better, fish was hot and crispy, just how I like it. Would recommend this place , Worth the price !

At 2.10 in the afternoon not having any lunch I went to get some chips UNFORTUNATELY. I think they must have been cooked at 12 o'clock LAST NIGHT. They were horrible I also had a sausage in batter which was just and I do mean just edible only because I got a tomato ketchup. On top of which I was... More
