If you are looking for amazing lightly battered fish then this is the place to go to. It's packed during lunches.

This is a farly standard fish and chips restaurant in the delightful surroundings of Marylebone, one of London's loveliest areas. Up to a few weeks ago, it was BYOB, which made it a cheap, fun place. It now has a licence & you have to buy their booze, which, for me at any rate, means that there are now lots... More

For some reason, good fish and chips seem to be getting more difficult to find in London. One reliable place, a Marylebone institution, is the Golden Hind. My skate was outstanding, the best I have had in many years. Service is efficient and agreeable, prices acceptable for the quality of the fish. It has many return local customers so can... More

I met a couple of ex-colleagues here for lunch. We met to catch up on our various business activities. We all had the haddock and chips with peas and a cup of tea. I had an apple crumble for dessert. The food was good and the service was reasonably quick. The prices were reasonable too. This place is popular, it... More

Once served, waitress never came back to table till i flagged her down. Had to do the same to get the check. It wasnt all that busy from the... More

I visited this restaurant today, a lovely and cosy place in a lovely and cosy street. Nice staff, quick service and at a really reasonable price. I had a large cod fillet and it was perfect. Definitely recommend.

An amazing fish and chips diner. Now they also have an alcohol licence, so you can opt for something stronger to drink. Fish and chips doesn't come any better than this!

Awesome, the best F&C I've ever had? I would say yes for sure. I was introduced to this place by my dad who used to go there for lunches before he retired...tesco across the street for a bottle a wine, cocking fee but it's worth it...amazing and I really mean that, astonishingly great? You laugh but I don't even eat... More

We visited this fish and chips place first and did not find one any better the whole 10 days we were in London. It was right across from our hotel the Marylebone - excelent.

We ordered the small portions of the cod and it was pretty big. The crust is very light so you won't eat a lot of flour. We had a Greek salad on the side to balance it off.

Thank John L

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
