Great atmosphere, excellent seafood, and efficient and friendly service. What more could you ask? Of course, right in the heart of theatreland it doesn't come cheap, but there are plenty of other expensive restaurants around that rip off their guests, and this one is worth every penny

We often have supper at Sheekey's before going to the theatre because the food is great and the service is swift and courteous. Apart from the permanent scrum in the entrance area (arrivals, departures, coat collection etc. all clash in a small space) I cannot fault it.

Oh, the oysters are magnificent, the fish is marvelous, and the seafood wonderful. Pricy, of course but so what?!? We cannot go to Covent Garden without at least one visit!! Make SURE you have reservations and NOT in the bar. Sometimes your hotel will make reservations and you arrive to find that you are in the bar when the comfy... More

Here at the weekend for lunch and while the food was good both my partner and I could not think of a reason we would go back, although the food was good it didn't wow us in such a way that we would rush back. We had 2 courses, a starter (Ceviche and Oysters) and main (Dover Sole and Wild... More

We arrived without a booking at 3pm and was told we could have a table until pm. We were seated very close to the bar, and unfortunately next to 3 professional men who's language was not becoming of this quality of establishment. We are not prudes but to hear foul language within feet of our table was uncomfortable.I approached a member... I just wanted to say what a delight the staff were last night at Sheekeys & Altantic Bar in St Martin's Lane. Despite no reservation they made us feel exceptionally welcome and made every effort to seat us. Highly commendable for London on a Friday night. Many thanks indeed.

The restaurant takes full advantage of its fame - while the seafood is excellent, the price matches (or exceeds?) the quality; and it's a first for me to be charged 2£s per person just for the "privilege" of eating in the restaurant area - but a wonderful setting and a place to watch and been seen (or overlooked). Service highly... More

If you love sea food and admire a well decorated place this is the right restaurant. Apart from that is well located in London as well. However, you have to prepare your budget to go there.

We visited J Sheekey on New Year's Eve and had a beautiful dinner here. We had the mixed grilled fish for two, the size of which was quite intimidating but we managed to finish it (and had room for pudding). The fish was beautifully cooked and the restaurant had a wonderful, old fashioned atmosphere. Recommended.
