Like the title says, Staff were inattentive, i suppose because it is a large area. There is better indian food in london at better prices. Very disappointed. Wont be back.

The food is rather special, Indian dishes served with french style. Besides being very well presented, the food is also delicious. The restaurant's decor also reflects an eclectic mix of traditional Indian and French colonial styles... it is rather unique - at least in the...More

I used to really look fotward to a sunday buffet at La Porte Des Indes but sadly there will be no more as the place closed for good in December 2017. The Sunday buffet was excellent, with a wide range of dishes so you'd get...More

Food as always was good. Place could do with a refresh, although we got a take-away so really that wasn't so much of a concern.

The restaurant looks very nice and the staff is very good. Unfortunately the food is average or below average and the prices are high. The staff told us that the restaurant will close down by the end of the month.

We went there for dinner on a cold winter evening. The attendant at the main door was not exactly what I would call welcoming, he also did not offer us to use the cloakroom facility for our coats/jackets. The table we were offered was right...More

We were introduced to La Porte des Indes in 2010. We enjoyed the food some much that we asked them to do the catering for our wedding. La Porte des Indes is not your typical Indian restaurant. The cuisine is extremely refined, the dishes are...More

Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods
cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience.
Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged
between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the
southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of
Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as
pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The

Description
La Porte des Indes is Indian cuisine on a grand scale, from the nine-metre waterfall cascading through the restaurant to the eight chefs in the kitchen. The food is just as spectacular, borrowing flavours from the former French colonies to add to its array of traditional dishes. Its central London location should mean you can spare some time for a visit to the Jungle Bar, where patrons are encouraged to throw peanut shells on the floor.
