We had a table booked inside but asked if we could sit outside. The staff we amazing - nothing was too much trouble and they were friendly and chatty. The food was different and delicious. Every course was outstanding. This place was on our list of must go places to visit and it was definitely rightly there. Really good food,... More

This restaurant cooked me and my boyfriend the best lamb we've ever had. So good my boyfriend went back a couple of days later to have it again. Will definitely come back.

had lunch here Saturday. booked on line the night before and could not get in during the evening. Restaurant was about half full and the decor is very minimal. Almost stark like a canteen but I imagine when full it's buzzing. Very nice ambiance and the service was efficient and very friendly throughout. Really nice menu choice with Spanish and... More

So predictable at Moro. The menu is full of things one has never heard of and frankly have no real interest in eating. As is now the norm for London completely over priced. £22 for a small piece of chicken with a stuffed pepper is a rip off. If that's not bad enough serving it lukewarm did nothing to enhance... I don't need to write too much about the food. I went with three friends and all our food was excellent. I had asparagus to start with a fantastic mint sauce followed by pork which is not a big favourite of mine but wondered how they would prepare it - so good I even ate the fat! We did not... More

A bit dissapointed as I had looked forward to eating here. Only one vegetarian choice and the vegetable mezze was just a few small portions of bulgar, lentils, hummus, marinated beans etc. and served with a massive flatbread. It was OK, but nothing out of the ordinary and lacking in any real flavour.

The food in Moro is good, but it's not amazing and there's no WAY you can justify a bill of £100 for two courses and two drinks each. It's completely and totally over priced and over hyped. The portions are small- if you book for two you have to sit right nice to the people next to you- not private... More

It might be one of the hippest venues in one of the hippest parts of the capital but this Clerkenwell restaurant still manages to be relaxed and more concerned with good food than being trendy. The restaurant’s décor with its polished wooden floors, long zinc bar and open view to the kitchen and its charcoal grill and wood-burning oven is functional but welcoming. The Moorish cuisine complete with subtle European influence is every bit as striking as it was when the restaurant opened its doors nearly ten years ago. Tapas served all day at the bar. Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighbourhood Profile
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
