Special occasion (wedding anniversary) and we couldn't have been better looked after. They didn't even bat an eyelid when one of our party was nearly an hour late arriving. The food was superlative - we ate from the A La Carte menu. Even our known fussy eater declared himself blown away by the taste, textures and presentation of the dishes.... More

Elegant atmosphere and beautiful formal decor. Excellent and very professional service. As for food we went for the five course Autumn tasting menu and Chef Marcus Wareing manages the exact balance between creative and charming yet delicious dishes. You can feel the wow factor in some of the dishes and we were not disappointed with any dish. Worth a visit

When you're eating in a Michelin rated restaurant owned by a celebrity chef you expect great food, service and ambience. This is the second time my wife and I have eaten here, probably because this is what you get at Marcus Wareing's restaurant. The food was superb and presented beautifully. We were dining with friends on this occasion and enjoyed... More

2nd visit and always a bit wary of going back to somewhere we enjoyed so much first time around. But no fears; we had a great evening and would definitely recommend. Food ranged from very good (turbot, beef and meringue) to fantastic (crab, lobster and custard). Big mark up on the wine but they didn't turn their noses up at... More

We had yet another magnificent meal here this weekend. It was one of our party's birthdays and the staff gave a wrapped present of a signed copy of Marcus new cook book. As before, and happily very consistently, the service, decor, ambience and food were all outstanding - this is definitely one of London's best restaurants and has cleverly maintained... More

When you pick apart the efforts of pros on Masterchef you really should able to deliver the goods yourself. And boy oh boy does Marcus Wareing deliver. The cooking is faultless. The focus is on flavour, colour and texture. There are no gimmicks: no smears, foams or the like. The dining room is an elegant space in The Berkeley Hotel,... More

I had great expectations of this restaurant but was surprisingly disappointed. The food was excellent although the pheasant jus was rather salty and the toffee chocolate dessert was very very sweet. The rest of the food was excellently prepared but although the waiters were attentive and friendly, the service was much too fast. I have eaten in quite a few... More

Too bad. We were four and two of us went for the 8-course tasting menu. The courses (with the exception of the dessert, far from being unforgettable) were good and sometimes very good. But from one course to the other we had to wait ages. This was unacceptable. Plus, the waiters knew little about the ingredients and did not answer... More

we booked for a saturday tasting menu and went for the 'premier' wine selection. We have gone for this sort of option in other Michelin starred restaurants and found it a great way to sample a wide range of dishes and benefit from the expertise of a sommelier to find the ideal wine match. Here the food was lovely and... More

I was so excited to go to Marcus. I Never had food at à Michelin star restaurant and maybe my expectations were too high. The restaurant itself is beautiful and elegant. However, the service was not at the level expected for the price. For exemple, the waitress had put sparkling water in my glass containing sparkling water. When I notified... More

With Marcus at the helm, working closely with Head Chef, Mark Froydenlund, the heart of the food remains the same, delivering modern European menus with British influence using the highest quality produce, creative thought and exacting execution.

Staying in Belgravia

Neighbourhood Profile
Home to the vast majority of embassies and diplomatic residences in London, sophisticated and upscale Belgravia also boasts a wealth of luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and some of the city’s most stroll worthy lanes. While the prices here are high, taking a leisurely stroll through the streets of picturesque and elegant white stucco houses is free. Hyde Park and the Buckingham Palace Gardens are only a stone's throw away to the north, and some of Europe’s best shopping is nearby as well.
