A classic old pub, great atmosphere for a good meal. We had a traditional fish and chips dinner, which was delicious, along with refreshing brews. We sat indoors on the first level but with a view of the river and the gallows, a great location...More

Arguably the oldest riverside pub in London, beautiful views a comprehensive menu and real English beers. Wether family or business you cannot fail to be impressed here. The staff are attentive and very personable. Chris the duty manager made my business easy by making it...More

Lovely pub with great surroundings, it's one of my favorite places in London, I almost go every week and I'm never disappointed

This historic riverside restaurant pub reminded me a lot of where I used live. Great for roast lunch and a good pub drinks where you can enjoy experience of English pub experience in London beside the river Thames.

I was here Sunday the 21st of May (around 2:30 as I know it's really busy before) with a friend from Lincoln for lunch and she was amazed (as all the people I brought there) by the location. Unfortunately the food wasn't at he same...More

When we travel to London we try to add a few historical pubs to our list of places to visit and this one has been on the list for awhile. We visited on a weekday afternoon and considering the fact that there were very few...More

Visited for lunch as part of a birthday trip to London for my father, as it was somewhere he had visited some years ago. The service was dreadful and the food not much better. My mother who is allergic to dairy requested that the cheese...More

I would have given zero stars if it were possible. We had an appalling night here. As a group we ordered dinner together at about 7:15pm, half of which arrived at a reasonable time, the other half was forgotten about. After around 90 minutes of...More

Historic riverside pub, great view over the Thames and Canary Wharf, well kept beers, and a nice buzz downstairs even approaching 9pm on a Sunday. Drinks are reasonably priced and service is good even when busy but the food although tasty is not the best...More

First went here because it was a few steps down from our rented flat and recommended by the owner. Great choice! Food was tasty with ample portions. Atmosphere was warm and friendly. Unlike some of the more commercialized places we visited on our trip to...More

Possibly....but it's not terribly spacious inside with many tables crammed in as possible. It's not really a place I'd take very young children.
