Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had to queue for over 30 minutes, not so bad considering where it is. However, once inside the staff were rude, and the food was very below average. If I'd cooked the food at home, I would be ashamed to serve it. Everything was...just poor. But I suppose this again is due to its location, as the area is so busy, they don't have to rely on return business. So would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, unless you were literally starving and you couldn't find any where else to eat. The whole experience was very poor. Actually, the young lady outside (staff) talking to the customers was very pleasant.More

The food in here was terrible, I can’t understand why it was so busy! The tikka masala was a tomato soup with cumin added for ‘authenticity’ the vegetable curry that accompanied the biriyani had no salt or pepper. Every dish was small & flavourless. This...is not an authentic Indian, it’s a shame. When I said I wasn’t happy with the food the waiter seemed disinterested. We went here for a quick bite to eat before going to the theatre and it’s a meal I’ll remember for all of the wrong reasons. Overpriced slop, I’ve had better Indian box meals from Tesco. Avoid this place.More

Best chicken tikka masala ever. Quick service and courteous staff. Cultural images on wall add to the charm. I would visit again.

Arrived after theatre show without a booking. Restaurant was just closing but they must have seen our look of disappointment and let us in. The disappointment did not last long. Even though we were the last customers of the night the staff were very attentive...and polite. Food was gorgeous, good sized portions and beautifully cooked. Price was not too expensive either. A delicious meal and will make a point of visiting again. Thank you allowing us in and thank you for a lovely end to a lovely dayMore

A restaurant that creates hype around its oldest Punjab restaurant in the UK image. You are received by an aloof girl at the entrance who barely looks at you, makes you step aside and then refers you to the manager. The manager then informs you...that you are 15 minutes late and lost your rights to the table - with a tone of arrogance and entitlement to restaurant status that I find impossible to accept these days. We wanted to have a nice evening out with our family and friends (6 people in total), ready to spend good money, but were denied. Never again and very happy to promote this message to everyone I know. Spare yourselves this experience - London is full of restaurants with friendly staff and appropriate manners.More

I have been coming here for years and have never been disappointed! My wife and I brought some friends from out of town having told them about it whilst on holiday. They loved it….literally “best Indian we have ever had”…they loved it so much they...wouldn’t even let me pay our half of the bill! Acharri chicken and Grandads Kali Dhall the stars…not to mention the pumpkin! Top service as always…legends all of them! My happy place!More

We are in Slough for four days for a family event and really wanted some Indian food. We found this place locally, and it did not disappoint. First thing I noticed was how clean and updated it looked but after speaking with the owner, she...said it was only painted after the pandemic. We ordered, Chaat, garlic naan and their salmon dish, it was just…. melt in your mouth heaven. Friendly and attentive staff, warm atmosphere. We plan to go back again before we leave.More

When we arrived, the restaurant, was not full but we were told to wait outside in the cold for 5 minutes- no explanation. We then were shown to our seats- right next to the toilet and the kitchen with a steady flow of people brushing...past us. I asked if we could move and the disgruntled waiter said he’d ask his manager but never came back to update us. We’d waited for at least 10 minutes and we hadn't been asked for our drinks yet. I asked another waiter if we could move and he finally said yes. The table had not been adequately cleaned there was a grain of rice on the wall, and an unclean fork on the floor. We could not be bothered to mention this as so far we were unimpressed. We were eventually asked for our order and ordered 2 lassis, roti, aloo paratha, butter chicken, pudina gosht and pilau rice. The food arrived in record time…... We were really looking forward to this as both of us lived in India and are huge Indian cuisine enthusiasts!! The food was as follows: The lassi’s arrived- this was the only good thing about the meal. But it doesn't take much skill to open a bottle and pour from it. Butter chicken- dry reheated chicken ( microwaved), the sauce was not with the usual spicing but tasted like cream of tomato soup- could not finish it, gross The pudina gosht- lamb was hard as a rock and dry, the sauce was covered in what could only be described as a gloopy mint sauce with a sharp vinegary taste- not pleasant Aloo paratha- no idea how these tasted as we got given aloo chapati instead Roti- dry, chewy and lacking in any flavour Pilau rice- no comment When the waiter came and asked us how evertyhing was- we just stayed silent. Inattentive service, horrible food, the bill was so high it was a joke. Will not come here again and hope others don't either. If this restaurant ever had any cachet it’s certainly lost it.More

My wife rarely eats Indian food, but the food in this restaurant was so good we ended up going twice. A great location on Covent Garden with a welcoming exterior, the restaurant is vibrant with a pleasant atmosphere, and the seating is comfortable with tables...nicely spaced. A good varied menu giving plenty of options for all tastes, the staff are knowledgeable and friendly, food of course is excellent and the cost is reasonable. Really enjoyed this experience and would not hesitate to recommend it.More
