A lovely welcoming restaurant that has been locally owned but at risk from corporate development in Victoria. Well worth a visit, great hospitality and home cooked food

My wife and I enjoyed an early supper at Tiles after a visit to London and before catching our train back to Surrey. The pre-theatre menu was very inviting, but there were also good offerings in the main menu and some tempting specials on the slate. Plus of course a big choice of wine by the glass. The French inspired... More

I had an amazing time! Very tasty food and wine in Tiles . Had Steak - one of the best ones I had in London. Lovely people around as well as amazing services. It's worth going there to have a quality time.

As others have said, this was a complete surprise when we were looking for lunch after visiting the Queen's Gallery. Mrs F. said the best fishcake she had ever had, my mixed fish spot on. A very talented chef lurks here. Lovely people too. Well done.

Very relaxed and atmosphere. Excellent service and food. Ideal for a pre-show meal or a more leisurely evening. Warm and welcoming staff. Good variety of choice on the menu and excellent wine list. Tucked away near Victoria station so easily accessible. Mains around £15 or so - good vfm. Give it a go and I doubt you'll be disappointed.

I have been here at least 12 times in 2016, the last time on 22nd December. The proximity to Victoria station (five minutes walk) is very useful. I always have different food when I am there. The last time I had wood pigeon which was delicious and the gnocchi with spinach and Stilton sauce. I drink either the house white... More

Friendly family-run restaurants are a dying breed. This one is a gem. Simple surroundings, friendly service, basic and unpretentious menu. Had the Fisherman's Platter - the deep fried battered salmon was particularly good. Olives thick with olive oil and masses of garlic - great. Good wines as well. I'll be back.

Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
