Had office Christmas Party here. Went with low expectation but was pleasantly surprised by both the standard of the food and the standard of service. All in all pleasant afternoon.

My colleague and I went to Jamie's last night for a meal and drink to catch up. Initially from the outside we thought it was a Jamie Oliver restaurant...so deceived! The waitress came straight up to us offered us menu's and then asked for our drinks order...all fine to here. Then she immediately cam e back over to ask for... More

This restaurant was very near my hotel so I nipped in for full English, which was good value at £5.45 and proved an excellent start to the day. My friend had the vegetarian option and enjoyed this. Staff were helpful and this pub / restaurant advertises that it allows non customers to use their loos! Inside is dark and I... More

Good food nice place - but beware the hidden add on Service Charge. I bought a Beer & Burger as encouraged by the "Deal" but a sneaky 12.5% was added for Service. Why? Perhaps Jamie could mount a campaign against sneaky service charges? Maybe not

Before my vacation, I was looking for restaurants near my hotel and this is how I found Jamies. I reviewed the menu and was attracted to an option to "build" my own burger. We arrived at the evening after a long day and wanted to have burgers. I ordered a burger with cheddar and blue cheese (9.95 pounds for burger,... More

We had a new waitress who misunderstood that we wanted a burger and drink special and brought extra wine for which we were charged and charged extra for the houllami that was included with one order. Food was average. Other nearby restaurants have better food.

We had the full Engliah Breakfast our first morning in London at the Minories near Portsoken Ave. The food was typically British but the history behind this location is even better!

Can see it's been commented on before but not much has changed. Run down, visible mice droppings and staff that don't care about the infestation. A real shame as the food is ok. Left as soon as main course arrived as could not stomach it with mickey running around

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighbourhood Profile
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
