Booked here for a reunion/friend's birthday on a Sunday afternoon for afternoon tea. When the food arrived (cakes first? Then sandwiches) it as awful. The sandwiches were dried and must have been made either the night before or early that morning. The chocolate mousse was so old that it had an off-brown crust. We asked for the tea and it... More

Absolutely lovely restaurant, with very good service. Despite letting the restaurant know prior to my visit, they failed to cater adequately to the needs of a dairy free meal. Instead of using dairy free butter, there was no butter in the sandwiches. Instead of making dairy free clotted cream, and dairy free scones, there were no scones or clotted cream.... More

I visited with my parents, having reserved online through 'Book a Table', as there was a large menu available with lots of choice, for after seeing Cinderella at the London Palladium. We arrives about 15 mins early, and the waitress showed us to our table. We were the only table occupied in the restaurant. We noticed the menu was different... More

This was a belated birthday celebration for my sister. We were in London for the day and decided to have afternoon tea at the Carnaby Restaurant, I had arranged for her 2 friends to join us there but she didn't know. The staff were very attentive to all our needs, making adjustments for our special needs. We were seated in... More

Our meal in the Carnaby restaurant was part of a special treat voucher given to us by our son which included Champagne and cinema tickets to see My Fair Lady. The first part went very well but the restaurant was awful. We came out of the cinema in the Courthouse Hotel and showed a member of staff our tickets and... More

My friend booked this on a virgin red letter voucher for our friends birthday for afternoon tea. I have had many afternoon teas and have to say this was the worst I've had. The service was good and the staff polite but the room for the tea was drab very unappealing. The food itself was very measley portions very uninspiring... More

Vistied this Restaurant recently for a meal prior to the film showing at the In House Cinema. Service was friendly & efficient. Food was average in quality & presentation. Fair value for money. We found the décor too dark & sombre for our liking.

Dear Tickle2, Could you please contact me on roy.sommer@courthouse-hotel.com? As the Afternoon Tea you have described does not sound like as ours. Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
