First time at The Wolseley and I had high expectations. When you have heard so much about a place, travelled a long way, are really looking forward to something, you can't help but have high expectations. Firstly, this traditional and grand space is beautiful and when decorated for Christmas, it seems especially so. My (not easily impressed) teenage son and... More

What an amazing building offering the expectation that your heading for a great night, however the food menu was bland and rather boring and the whole place seemed to be trading on its name and the building. Very disappointed.

This historic restaurant in an old bank building is a landmark that you'll want to include on your tour of the Mayfair District. A reservation is needed at lunch time.

Buzzing atmosphere for a weekend lunch. Varied menu with lots of classic dishes. Professional and attentive staff. Definitely feel as if you are being spoiled.

This is a great place to eat full of vibe and buzzing with chatter. Not for those who want a quiet meal, but for a great meal with friends where you can laugh and talk its the place.

It's no surprise this restaurant is rated as one of the best in town. I had quails eggs with sea bass to follow which was mouth-wateringly delicious. Splendid service, wonderful ambience. Could eat here every day!

If you're looking for a luxury afternoon tea where you can sit back and relax, this isn't the place for you. We were expecting the service and ambience to be on a level with the other top London hotels but the tea is served in a large, loud room with all the lunch and dinner guests. Tables were cramped and... More

The Wolseley is an OCCASION restaurant. One of the loveliest, buzziest rooms in London. Dinner once at the mezzanine level was particularly memorable. The food is pleasant - I find the food better at other restaurants in the same groups, especially The Beaumont Hotel. Service always excellent. Good choice of meal options.

The Wolseley is a "classic" venue in London to see and be seen. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and the atmosphere and feel, is very good. Its location, very near The Ritz and Piccadilly, fantastic. The food and service, however, are just average. I had breakfast there and for the price and especially the service, I cannot say I was... Staying in St. James's

Neighbourhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
