Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I would recommend going to this amazing restaurant. Ignore the bad comments - they work so hard to accomodate you and the food is delicious and beautifully fresh and prepared well. There was a table of 13 of us yesterday and they have a cosy...room downstairs. It was for a leaving do. It was spot on and I’d highly recommend going thereMore

Friendly owner, service ok although for us too fast. After max 10 minuten, the food is already served while still enjoying the apero. Not able to enjoy bread and olives who were offered by the waiter with the apero (charged on bill for 3.75 pound...each). No fresh cooked fish plate, pasta ok but not more than that.More

We were meeting up with American family members staying near St.Paul’s and took a chance to book Taberna Etrusca as it was nearby at Bow Churchyard. Well, that really paid off. The restaurant looks small from the outside but is really roomy. The food, service...and atmosphere was truly superb. All four of us enjoyed our meal and the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The meal was so successful that our American family are going to return to the restaurant as they were so impressed.More

So good to be back here. Still a great welcome, excellent service and a wonderful ambience. We had the set lunch menu and whilst only having 2 courses you can have 3. There’s a choice of 3 dishes for each course and the 2 courses...cost £21. It’s great value for the quality. The food is superb, which is the hallmark of this restaurant. Will be going back again very soon.More

Authentic and reasonable Italian food on my visit for a business lunch with a former colleague. The food wasn't particularly memorable or special but it was decent and within range for the area. Will give them another chance but initial thoughts were there are better...option in the area where competition is rife.More

Amazing service & excellent food. I don’t know how this place hasn’t got everyone giving them 5 stars. The portions and taste of the food, and the people that work there absolute credit to them all. Thank you for a fantastic evening!! If you are...wondering whether to go, go!More

My friend and I came here as they accepted tastecard. I went for the (deep breath) ‘Vitello alla Milanese con Rucola e Pomodorini Marinati O con Spaghetti al Pomodoro e Basilico’. This was breaded veal with spaghetti: the veal was delicious and so moreish! I...ordered some deep-fried courgettes on the side but I could have done without them. Service was fine up until the end. Unfortunately, even after asking for the bill several times, it just wasn’t coming. We had a show to get to, but ended up having to go to the counter at the entrance to get it printed. Cue mad dash to the theatre (we arrived just on time, thankfully). Tastecard meant that the meal was very good value.More

It was a special anniversary for us and as we would normally be in our beloved Florence to celebrate. We thought thought this looked nice so booked and informed the owner of our reason to visit. We have visited 56 countries and so many restaurants...and especially now after everyone has struggled to get through this hideous pandemic, always give a true and decent review. We ordered the ‘ lobster ravioli with lobster bisque sauce. Frozen ravioli with tasteless ‘ fish’ and tomato sauce !!Really. Because it was a special occasion, I quietly mentioned this to the owner. He was not concerned. The wine at £24.50 was a very cheap one and the main courses were very average to say the least. The Tiramisu was a decent one but no way as good as Vecchio PariolI from the night before. Then I went to the bathroom and after flushing the toilet got someone else’s excretement etc down my legs which made me incredibly nauseous. I told the owners immediately and YET AGAIN HIS ATTITUDE WAS APPALLING!!! He told me it was not his fault and ‘ someone had put something in the toilet’ NO APOLOGY. JUST THE FULL BILL. Never again. This is a disgrace for any restaurant and you put the Italian restaurants we frequent to shame. YOU RUINED OUR ANNIVERSARY DO NOT GO THEREMore

This is a big warning to anyone thinking of coming to this restaurant.. PLEASE DON’T! I booked this restaurant as I work around the corner for a news organization. What a mistake. I arrived and was greeted very warmly. It was 6.30 on a Tuesday...evening and I explained that my husband and I might only stay for drinks, and would that be an issue, the waiter said no problem and asked if he should leave the menus. I said yes as we might be hungry later. We ordered 2 x rounds of drinks, olives and bread and spent £45. Bearing in mind it was a Tuesday at 6.30pm the week after lockdown.. 60% of the tables were empty. Now I know why. We decided not to eat there as it was getting cold and there were no heaters. My husband ( who is half italian ) overheard the man in charge shouting at his staff in italian about why we weren’t eating. I then go to the ladies and this revolting old man who I assume was owner was waiting for me at the top of the stairs who aggressively tells me “for your reference, when you book a restaurant- you eat”. He then proceeds to shout in my face in front of all the other diners. I have never been so humiliated and shaken up at a restaurant in my life. It was so embarrassing two other female diners asked me if I was ok. He has since cancelled my booking through open table to save himself the £3.50 it cost him for the table, I hope it was worth it. This is no reflection upon his staff who were delightful, I would steer well clear of this place. I will never ever go back to this place and will be telling all work colleagues and friends in the area to avoid.More
