Atmospheric East End cafe with wood panelled walls. Fast service, and tasty food, traditional English, and also Italian food. Reasonable prices,
Noisy, but great experience. Real strong tea, wonderful.
Nev and Anna are always so silly and friendly. The food is really nice, i enjoy the fry ups and the bolognase which you can buy in tubs to cook at home.
Ive been here a few times and shall be going back next time...im in Bethnal Green. Its a cute greasy spoon cafe that has kept its character and charm.
The xmas sandwich is just to die for.....roll on december.More
Fav place in East London.. Nev (who is not my boy friend) Anna, Irene(who thinks I'm Nev's boyfriend), Tony, Momma and the gang smash it every time.. Breakfast, lunch the lot...Irene thinks that cos I have long hair I could be a girl.. Shes just...jealous of my luscious locks!!! Don't forget they close for August every year. Defo the best Caf in London by county mile. Don't miss the chance to visit, its worth it for the banter alone but then the food is banging and you'll never want to leave. Irene needs to get to spec savers pronto...More
What a gem of a place. So much history and tradition. The staff were so lovely, the food was wonderful and the atmosphere was great. A traditional London cafe with all the trimmings.
We went after watching a documentary on YouTube where the cafe was...featured. It was everything we expected and a lot more!
Try the chips! They’re amazing!More
Came in as I was in the area and had heard good stuff about Pellicci's. I wasn't disappointed, full English was great, bacon and Cumberland high quality in comparison to offerings in other cafes. Good atmosphere, everyone seemed to know each other and Nev is...very friendly. Other woman with dark hair who was working front of house was quite abrupt/ slightly rude when I had a question about paying with card or cash which was only minor complaint I would have. Would definitely return next time i'm in the area to try their pasta and desserts as they also looked great.More
Five stars are simply not enough to rate this place. A genuine delight with excellent food and friendly funny staff whose banter during the visit really make the trip worthwhile. Anna (Serano) in particular is one of the most friendly and genuine hosts I have...ever encountered in a London eatery. The food is excellent, the price is good, the ambience superb and you will NOT be disappointed if you go here.
Add in the history and the genuine mixed nature of the area and this place is worth going off the beaten track to find. There is absolutely no doubt that next time we go back to London, we will be returning to see Anna and family and enjoying there hospitality.
Make the effort, go off track and seek this place out.More
Me and a friend travelled to Stratford from Oxford but were recommended that we stopped in Bethnel Green to have breakfast at E.Pelliccis. Proper cafes are hard to come by these days in Oxford so we were really looking forward to it.
It didn't disappoint....We sat inside and the decor is brilliant. We both ordered the "have the lot" which is one of the biggest breakfasts I've ever eaten and the quality of the food was brilliant. (I ate at half 10, didn't have to eat again until 9)
The staff were all really attentive and hard working, but also looked like they really enjoyed what they do. The banter flying round that cafe was so good to hear. Everyone in there were smiling.
They don't accept card payments and I didn't have cash on me so had to go and get some. I guess normally I would have cash but I'm just getting used to carrying it again after the cashless covid world we have become used to. But I'm looking forward to visiting again sometime.
Next time I would love to try some of the other food on offer.
Keep up the good work guys, what a lovely establishment you have.More
If you want a combination of genuinely brilliant "caf" (not café!) classics and delicious Italian food, along with a fair chunk of banter from Anna, Nev, Irene, Tony and co, come to Pelliccis. The full English is amazing, the ciabattas are mouthwatering, and the escalope/pasta...combos are to die for.More
