Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Well worth the journey every time we go here. The staff are lovely, and the restaurant itself superb. It’s always busy, but the best places always are. All the breakfasts we have eaten here have been top class, and the Sausage & Bean sandwich my...partner had was described by her as beautiful, the best sausages and super thick bread! The chef is chatty and interacted with us, and is proud of the food he serves, as he should be. Can’t wait to come back again soon.More

The fact that people were willing to queue outside on a cold December morning (rather than go to sit in local alternatives) should tell you all you need to know about the popularity of this place. Somewhat cramped inside, there can be a wait for...a table, and then for breakfast to arrive, but it is well worth the wait.More

So another trip to see our son in the east end of London meant we definitely had to go and visit E Pellicci’s again and I’m so glad we did. Again, the staff were extremely friendly; warm and welcoming on a cold Monday morning. Smiles...all round alongside delicious food. A classic breakfast, a bacon and mushroom panini and a bread chicken escalope panini, served with hot and comforting drinks. Clearly the popularity of this place is extending as by 9am it was full indoors and when we left, the covered outside seating area was also full and there were people queuing - if you go (you must), you will see and taste why. Thank you to all the staff :)More

I wanted to go to Pelliccis for a long time and finally got my chance recently. The queue outside was very slow moving but that was ok as I had travelled from the other side of London to get there and was happy to wait....Finally got a table and waited for awhile for a waitress to give us a menu. Eventually another waitress took our drinks order and said that someone else would take our food order. Orders were eventually taken. Waited about 15 minutes for a lukewarm cappuccino although I had ordered an extra hot one. Another 15 minutes passed and then my garlic ciabatta arrived which was two very small and thin slices of ciabatta with a bit of butter and garlic. After another wait, my friend’s sandwich arrived, which to be fair was ok. We were told that the chips we had ordered were on the way. After another 15 minutes or so, I asked where the chips were and was again told they were on the way. They eventually arrived and looked like they were what was left at the bottom of the chip fryer! I was so disappointed in the whole visit. It was busy but there were quite a few staff - they just didn’t seem to be able to cope and were not really keeping an eye on what was going on. Pelliccis is poor value for money and the quality of the food overall was not great. Sadly I won’t be going back.More

I had heard about this cafe on Tik Tok, and after reading the glowing reviews, I was intrigued and decided to visit myself. And I wasn't disappointed... even though it was mega busy, and we had to queue outside for a short while. The wait...was so much worth it. The food was second to none, with portion sizes off the scale. And the quality of the food was amazing. Tasty, fresh and the fact it is homemade, brings a lovely touch to it. I was born in the East End, and most of my family are from there. Pelliccis captures the East End spirit in their warm and friendly manner...which is reflected in their service. Every customer new and old is made to feel special. If only more restaurants were like this..the modern eateries could learn such a lot here. I will be back for sure.. I have found a diamond in the sea of commercial run of the mill restaurants!More

Authentic with a capital A. Food simple but excellent, service a bit rough yet charming, small, crowded and just wonderful. You feel that this is family and business in a great combination. And why change a tradition that has worked for ages. If you are...looking for something really authentic - this is your place. Perhaps not for all, but we loved it. Cash onlyMore

Popped in today for the first time in over thirty years.Atmosphere was as loud and convivial as I remember from my previous visit. The chicken, bacon and mushroom pie was superb. I’ll try an call in again in another thirty years when I’ll be 93.

E Pellicci is a nice and crowded place. Super rich breakfast, crowded and noisy location. You can meet people from the east end and all over the world. Easy to get in touch with them if you are willing to share a table. Food is...nice, portion size tends to the massive size, at least for Software Engineer like me. The only downside during my last visits is the growing crowd of Influencers etc. However, I like this place and I like to share the expirience with other people, that's why I'll visit the place with some working chaps next week.More
