I really enjoyed my experience here as it was completely different to anything I'd done before. The pitch blackness and the mysterious menu were great, as was the fact that you totally focus on the person you're with, which makes it a great date venue...More

You walk through maybe 4 black out curtains into a room that is completely pitch dark. You are essentially blind- which is the point. Your waiter is blind and you are given a three course meal (which you choose before hand). You do not know...More

Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site
of an ancient meat market which remains in operation
today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally
renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and
some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a
focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough
time wondering through the area's maze of streets and
you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky

No dress code within reason. I think you need to tell them about your nut allergy. Sure it will be fine though. An amazing experience- enjoy.

Located in trendy Clerkenwell, the novel concept behind Dans le Noir ? is to re-think the notion of taste by serving your food in complete pitch darkness. The eclectic menu is designed to maximise such heightened sensory awareness; instead of listed dishes, there are surprise menus with omissions to suit different tastes (such as vegetarian). Blind staff serve and guide diners in the main restaurant, with a lit bar and lounge for ordering and pre- or post-dinner cocktails.
