Location and contact

Described by some as ‘the only bar in town for ladies who lunch’, one look at The Enterprise tells you why. A clean white exterior presided over by gleaming gold signage, door flanked by manicured bay trees, this is clearly an upscale spot reflecting the tastes of the well-heeled locals of South Kensington. Inside a country house style continues the sophisticated theme. High ceilings, sash windows and elegant cream swagged curtains surround red striped banquettes. At a long mahogany bar deep red stools are perched upon by drinkers while at immaculately laid tables diners enjoy good British food with an added hint of Italian sunshine.

In general the place is nice with good service, but the food is massively overpriced for the quality. Sunday roast lamb was shredded, dry, tasteless and my brother had a £21 roast chicken which was distinctly average. Lifeless roast potatoes, supposed cooked in goose fat...More

Dear Workingmum, Hello. I was on duty and it was me you spoke to. I checked with our bartender who assured me that he had poured a slimline tonic. In retrospect, since you had your doubts, I should just have offered to swap it for...More

We had been out for lunch, and are going to The Ledbury tomorrow, so we wanted something reasonably light for dinner. We looked at all sorts of places, and finally came up with The Enterprise, which I had not visited for ten years. We had...More

A lovely lunch with friends. We all had fish and chips and the fish was excellent. I then had a lovely pineapple tarte tatin. All in all a great success. The staff were really helpful and friendly too.

Not a destination but if you're in the area this is a great place to eat. The wine list was not too long but had a thoughtful selection and the food was well prepared and tastful
