Alas, the Ebury is now closed, after 50-plus years. We’ll really miss this unique little wine bar and restaurant, and especially Alan, Trent and all the other staff that made it such a welcoming place. Let's see what type of place the landlord (Grosvenor) replaces...More

Five of us went to the Ebury for a very enjoyable bar meal and wine after a matinee performance. I have been there on and off since the 1970s and it has never failed to satisfy. Very convenient for Victoria Coach Station so good if...More

We went to the Ebury for a long over due date night and had the most wonderful evening. We were looked after so well by the staff and enjoyed really delicious food. The restaurant was full yet staff had time to talk to guests and...More

The tone of the restaurant was signaled by a fun and flattering painting of Boris Johnson on the wall next to our table. Clearly a favorite haunt of older Tory Brexiter types, its political sympathies dovetail perfectly with its traditional yet airy decor. In keeping...More

The Edbury is about 3 blocks off the beaten path on a quiet well-lit street in central London. It has a French flavor and includes a well-stocked bar up front. The tables in the rear are quiet and romantic. The food was excellent as was...More

The most wonderful evening yesterday at this gem of a restaurant whose standards, if that were ever possible, have improved yet again, but perhaps that's because we were all so much looking forward to dining there after being abroad for so long. "Oh to be...More

The place was really noisy. We waited a long time for our food to come after we ordered, and it was only so-so when we did get it. The menu selections were just OK and so was the food quality. We were quite disappointed.

Home to the vast majority of embassies and diplomatic
residences in London, sophisticated and upscale
Belgravia also boasts a wealth of luxury hotels, fine
dining restaurants, and some of the city’s most stroll
worthy lanes. While the prices here are high, taking a
leisurely stroll through the streets of picturesque
and elegant white stucco houses is free. Hyde Park and
the Buckingham Palace Gardens are only a stone's throw
