We brought my nieces here for dinner. It was warm enough to sit in the pleasant beer garden. We had mains, desserts and a bottle of the current wine selection. The food was excellent, three of us had burgers which were delicious, a good sized...portion, very tasty with plenty of cheese and a very nice spicy sauce. The chips were excellent too. The sticky toffee pudding served with ginger ice cream was possibly the best we had ever tasted! The meal was not cheap but was fairly priced for the quality and location.More
Popped in for a quick lunch and had a really high quality meal. We only had a main, but the sea bream dish they served was exceptional. If i had been served that in 1* La Trompette down the road, I'd have been very happy....Pub classic sausages and mash was very good also. High quality ingredients, great sauce etc. Nice people, nice atmosphere at lunch time (can be a little hectic in the evenings due to popularity). Top pub food in Chiswick by a long way.More
The pub and gardens is very nice. The staff are friendly and I understand the owners are lovely too. However I ate the worst burger of my life there last night. Like sawdust. And cost £17. It’s a shame when a pub get something as...simple as a burger so wrong.More
I've only ever been here of an evening and for food. I brought friends here at the end of a leisurely pub walk. We sat inside as it was hot out. The pub is very pleasant with lots of space inside. The staff are friendly...and the beer was very good. Not that we ate on this occasion but my experience of the food has always been excellent.More
4 of us enjoyed a lovely evening meal. The pub has a great atmosphere and has a very very welcoming feel, food was excellent as was our service
A great beer garden with table service. The food, drink and service were all excellent. The veal escalope, penne with Italian sausage ragu, calamari and the grilled lamb skewers were superb. And a great selection of beers/ciders and wines made the perfect meal. The service...was fab as well, not in your face nor too inattentive, just right. And lovely lighting in the garden as the sun went down, just stunning.More
The Swan is such a special pub/restaurant, always delivering great food and drinks with well judged serviced. We had lunch today (as it happened entertained by the puppy at one nearby table, and a cute toddler at another!), and the food was as good as...we remember (from pre-pandemic). I had the burrata and tomato salad, the other half had the pea & saffron risotto. My salad was excellent (all about the quality of the ingredients), though the risotto felt a little over-seasoned - not nearly enough to send it back, don't get me wrong, it could just be that they use a slightly saltier stock than I use to make risotto. It was beautifully presented - with grilled vine tomatoes and a handful of rocket on top - much better than my risotto ...More
Wouldn’t not allow us in with our 9 weeks old baby who needed to be with us as breast fed. We will never try to go here again or recommend it. I have never known a restaurant to not allow a small baby entrance and...this is our 4th baby and we have eaten out lots with small baby’s and it’s never happened before.More
A very good Sunday lunch. I had the duck but the beef looked amazing. And praise b they now how to cook roast potatoes I was told. Sadly I was driving so no wine and we didn't have space for pudding. Staff were very helpful...all round and in particular in dealing with a slightly fussy younger eater. We will be back - highly recommendedMore
We visited the swan recently and sat in their lovely garden. They are dealing with COVID brilliantly, friendly, low key, but every safety rule adhered to. Safe but no drama. Drinks and service highly recommended.
Lovely dinner and fantastic service. Ella made the trip personable and went above and beyond. Loved our evening with you.
Wow - this is top restaurant quality food at pub prices. Wanted to wait till I had been twice (post lockdown) before I reviewed and both times have been fantastic. Firstly they’re very vigilant regarding COVID preparation and rules. Everything is explained before you walk...in the door. You feel safe while you’re there yet they’ve still managed to maintain the bustling atmosphere of a good and busy pub. The food is next level. As someone who doesn’t even consider a salad real food, their Caesar Salad with grilled chicken is the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Fresh cos lettuce dressed perfectly, and the crumbled croutons, Parmesan and anchovies are kind of part of each leaf (hard to explain) which makes it easier to eat rather than trying to force your fork through a massive crouton which then shoots out at a nearby table. Risotto was perfectly cooked, and the flavours really well thought through. Ribeye was melt in your mouth with super crispy chips. Also worth a mention is the penne with Italian sausage ragu....I could just eat that forever. They’ve updated their wine list and now have far better value options than before. Cannot rate this place highly enough...it will definitely be my new local.More
What's the point in having a lovely garden if it's closed? We arrived for our table reservation only to be told that the garden was closed on the orders of the owner. The staff were unable to explain why and were not willing to contact...the owner so we left and had a lovely meal nearby in another pub gardenMore
The Swan is a favourite of ours & we visit regularly. The Sunday roast is simply the best in Chiswick!
