I'd always wanted to go Nairobi and eat in the Carnivore and decided this was cheaper. It was 3-4 times what we pay in Nandos but a lot cheaper than a trip to Kenya. The wine costs £8.50 - over £7000 and lunch is cheaper so they recognise not everyone is rich. Unusual sums up food, decor and how you... More

Took my partner here for his birthday as eats all weird and wonderful things, thought this would be an apt experience and it was. Fab decor and the staff were attentive. The food albeit very odd was beautifully presented and we thought tasted fantastic everything went well together. Great little touches.. napkin grows, treasure chest menus and the whole evening... Fantastic experience! Great food and great service. The staff were really friendly and very helpful always happy to answer any questions. I had the python and kangaroo and both were cooked beautifully. Would highly recommend this restaurant if you would like to try something different. We also shared the love bug salad to and the chocolate scorpions for pudding. If... More

This was a birthday meal for 5 adults and obviously the attraction was the exotic food. We all deliberately chose different starters and had them put in the middle so we could share. then we ordered different mains and shared them round a bit. Several of us had puddings just to make sure we didn't miss any of the exotic... More

I was visiting London only for 3 days and went in this place with my Husband as he wanted to try something diferent. When we got there 30 min before 6pm they told him... More

I really enjoyed that night at this restaurant which is so unusual and sophisticated. It is not so much the environment, but the food, which is infused with many savours and spices that it melts in your mouth for a long time. Yes, you are eating insects or weird meet such as python, and yet it is utterly delicious. The... More

Had a birthday choice of going here or The Ritz. Feeling adventurous l chose Archipelago and am glad that l did. So much more interesting and fun than plates piled high with cakes and sandwiches ! To get the most out of the experience my friend and l gave each other tasters from our plates. A good tactic imo. For... More

We went there with my family and it was a really nice experience. The place is cosy & exotic. Service is good with nice waiters. - Python was very good, dressing as well. - Crickets were good but we didn't like at all the side with it. We had around 6 micro crickets in the plate so you should consider... More

Description
If Archipelago were a film it would definitely be one of the Indiana Jones series. First, the menu features all manner of exotic beasties - locusts, zebra, crocodile and second the decor is an exotic mix of golden buddhas, dwarf palms and giant peacock feathers. The staff will talk you through each dish, but there's also chicken, fish, lamb and extensive vegetarian options. It's a great night out for the more adventurous - or if you happen to be having Ray Mears to stay.
