Healthy wraps and salad bowls for a reasonable price. Nice friendly atmosphere. £7 for a aubergine wrap with red cabbage, fried cauliflower, sliced tomatoes, hummus, couscous and olives to take away. Price for chips is steep though at £4! You might as well walk a few doors up the street to Poppies as they sell a portion there for £2.75 and it’s larger and hand cut!

Wandering around Soho pre-theatre matinee for a quick bit of lunch we stopped here.
A small cafe style place with a simple menu. We shared hummus with a small side of bread to start followed by a chicken bowl and halloumi bowl, both served with lettuce, red cabbage, tomatoes, couscous, cauliflower, olives/gherkins and more hummus. We added a side of fries and a couple of chargeable sauces (chilli especially hot). Washed down with a small bottle of Asahi and a less small Pinot Grigio.
Might have been nice to have seen a bill rather than just get told how much it was (service charge added). Touched £50 for a snack.
Decent enough but wouldn’t seek it out next time in town.

Normally I grab a takeaway falafel wrap here at lunch as it is delicious and great value. They have progressed to a fully licensed bar and evening venue. Not big but it was busy. Claudia, her husband and the kitchen did an amazing job. Evening started with cocktails then a selection of Meze starters ( the crispy Aubergine was a stand out dish) then the mains a selection of Eastern Mediterranean dishes - vegans willingly accommodated. Finished off by deserts and coffee and limoncello. And such fantastic value for money for a west end restaurant. The atmosphere the whole evening vibrant.

As other reviews have stated, this resteraunt does seem to have a bit of a problem with bookings. We were seated with no problem, but we saw a couple having to wait outside for over 40 minutes to be seated at a table they had booked. We saw another couple walk out after realizing that their booked table was not available and a group of four having to wait. The restersunt is quite small so seeing people who have booked being asked to wait, and seeing waitresses panic, is a bit uncomfortable. We started to feel very rushed. The tables next to us had ordered teas, and were given a huge pot of tea that was presented beautifully with lemon slices and mint. It encouraged us to order some, but when we did (at the same price - £4.50) we were only given a small cup that was certainly half of what other tables had been given. I think that this was a tactic to ensure that we left sooner so they could sit some of the couples that were waiting.
The food was decent. I found the Tatzki bland, I dont belive it was home made. This was a bit disappointing as it cost £5 (without any bread). The Greek salad is a huge portion, for £8, it could easily feed 4. The desert menu is small and could do with some more mediterranean deserts (banana split doesn't really fit the menu).
I would go back, but I do believe they need to fix their booking problems. People book in advance for dinner in London, waiting 45 minutes for their table could put them in a very awkward situation whereby they risk running late for evening plans, or have to leave and find dinner elsewhere.

First of all thank you for coming to Maoz, thank you for taking time to review us. We really appreciate any review, and if we make mistakes to learn from them and do better in the future. We are definitely a small restaurant and sometimes the booking system double books our tables, and then is nothing we can do, as sometimes people don't show up, even if they booked, they reconfirmed, and when we call them they still confirm, but then they don't come. In this hard times , post pandemic we need customers, we can't say no to customers, so the manager will risk it and even give tables to walk ins, but this is our problem to handle, I'm sorry it made you uncomfortable. Also each table has 1.5 hours allocated, but of course not everyone leave on time so that can delay the next seating
The tzatziki is home made tho, and we added 3 more deserts and took off banana split.
Hope you'll come try us again.

Big no. I'm an Israeli; I know what good Mediterranean food is like. This was a dirty, noisy place; tables were sticky, and only one waitress was running around. The salads were a mountain of pickles & cabbage with dry, hard Falafel balls. The Cauliflower crumbled like it had been scraped from the pan. Very disappointing

Me and my friend had a veggie feast there! We only paid about £25 each, when we had so much food we could barely walk after.
Staff was polite and there's a more relaxed atmosphere than many restaurants. I understand that may not be everyone's cup of tea, but we didn't mind.
Lovely food selections without having an overwhelmingly large menu.
In general, it was a good time, and location is great, as it's super central.
I'd definitely go back.

Not great service, small portions, food is average.
It was busy, which is to be expected on a saturday in Soho, but other than the staff being busy, it was very disorganised.
The food was rather bland and we waited some time to order as nobody was available, so we seated 40 minutes before we could eat. Not worth the wait.

"Love this place! Maoz Falafel and Schnitzel offers a fantastic variety of vegetarian options, and everything is super fresh. The falafel is made to perfection and seasoned beautifully, while the schnitzel is crispy and tender.
The salad bar is stocked with fresh, vibrant ingredients, and the variety of sauces really elevates the experience.
It's the perfect stop for a quick and healthy meal, and the service is always friendly and efficient."

We booked a table over a month in advance for a joint family celebration and had all travelled to London to meet up for Dinner. We arrived at Maoz yesterday evening to find it was closed. No notification, no visible indication why it was closed and no answer when calling the restaurants number. Restaurants and hospitality in general have had a tough couple of years but with peoples spending power being diminished they will be selective. Appreciating it could have been due to sickness or unforeseen circumstances but clearly the curtsey of customer service was also absent.

We really apologise, it must have been a glitch in the system, as we are always closed on Mondays, still it's not an excuse, we apologise again, and if you do decide to come back to us the first round of drinks is on us.

Came here for lunch with my family on Saturday afternoon and had a lot of delicious food. The prices are reasonable for the area and have already rebooked to come for dinner on Friday night based on my experience. New favourite quick eat stop for sure!

I visited for dinner on a Friday evening with some friends. The food was great, super tasty (lamb skewers were amazing), a very reasonable price and given a decent serving. We got some houmous and pitta on the house whilst we decided what to eat. The service was attentive and friendly.
The restaurant had a lively atmosphere despite us going for an early dinner, the restaurant would be perfect for eating outside of a sunny evening. I didn’t have a cocktail so can’t comment but they had an extensive drinks menu which would be great for any social meal out, although drinks on the slightly pricier side. However it’s Soho so not out with the norm.
I wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend, so much more on the menu to try!

My Maoz experience is one of great Excellence. I am so fully satisfied and happy I found this Restaurant. The Vegan Wrap is deliciously tasty and was made in a Vegan Friendly Way. I would definitely recommend Maoz as the best place to eat if you are out and above in the West End or Soho. Also the price is very cheap and affordable for everyone. I will be a regular customer definitely.

We had a nice meal, although we over ordered, be aware the portions are quite large.
Friendly staff who are constantly busy, it's a very popular spot and there are loads of places to eat and drink around about.
Service, although friendly, was a little slow to start off, but I put that down to the number of tables they have inside and out. I cannot really complain as we did get our orders eventually.
Food is very tasty, good choice on the menu and reasonable prices (especially when you think where it is, bang in the middle of London and theatre land)
I would recommend giving this pace a try if you like Turkish food, good value and don't be put off by the outside appearance of the place. It looks like a cafe with takeaway, but it does do restaurant quality food.

Actually disgusted at service and quality of food this place serves up these days. Used to be great but it’s gone way downhill. Ordered 2 chicken plate mains waited 20 mins. When arrived the portion was tiny and poor quality. I’ve seen more filling in a supermarket sandwich that what was on the plate. The staff response ‘we improved the place’ em no you ain’t! I’m a return customer however this will be my last visits.
Happy to support local business but not when they rip off customers in this way small poor quality food and dreadful service.

Visited Maoz and wanted to sample the "Early Bird" Menu. Server did not seem to be aware of it's existence and we had to show him on their website! Problem was eventually resolved when a new colleague arrived and we had a vey pleasant meal. Portions are quite big so you may wish to only have a main course and then see if you are still hungry!
