Very odd as Sunday lunch is prime time for most restaurants but for this 45min... More

Thank you for your review. I am surprised that your review seems to have been written 2 days ago (Saturday) and yet you seem to have visited on a Sunday in April 2016. Nevertheless I would still like to respond to your point. We are very busy for both Sunday brunch and Sunday lunch. Because of this we cannot offer... More

Visited this place on Christmas Eve with family to have at least one night over the period where we had someone cooking for us. On this evening they didn't have their full menu on offer which I hadn't been informed about when I booked and I was rather looking forward to the rabbit but it wasn't on offer as there... More

Enjoyed brunch here on New Year's Day with friends - the English breakfast is good value, generous and with good quality ingredients. Great local place for breakfast.

We ended up there at a busy Sunday lunch time when the restaurant we were actually heading was already packed. I'm so glad we found this place. The food there was delicious and comforting. It felt like you are at home and enjoying a real homecooked meal. And as far as I am concerned, it was a good value for... More

A very pleasant place to go. A good indicator of the meal was the fact that the first two questions from everybody at the end of the meal was "When are we coming back?" and "What are you having next time?" Decor was clean and pleasant as was the service. Service timed things nicely, not too long between between courses... More

Nous aimons The French Caf! Balham just got its own little corner of Paris right on the Ritherdon Road. Marked by a striped awning, patio area and glass frontage The French Caf fills one with a sense of calm before you even step through the door. Inside the very Parisian dcor is given a wry British twist; tiled walls announcing tea, breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee sit well alongside old French advertising posters and specials scribbled in neat cursive on blackboards. Likewise, whilst during the day The French Cafs lively bustle centres around simple breakfasts the full English for one and lunches traditional steak frites, when evening comes the chicer side takes over as the Totterdown crowd take their seats for the more sophisticated but nonetheless traditional French offerings of boeuf bourguignon and cromesquis of salmon and coquilles St Jacques.
