Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

An excellent meal. We’ve been in England a week and this is by far the best meal! Delicious food and wine, good service. It was very busy, even early in the evening when you’d think it might be quiet. I’m glad we were lucky enough...to get a table.More

Visited as part of a party of 8 on a Saturday evening. The place was busy with a great atmosphere. All the diners appeared to be having a great time and enjoying themselves; always such a good sign! It really felt like a family run...restaurant in the heart of an Italian town or city. The food arrived quickly and was fantastic with what can only be described as exceptional fun and engaging service from our waitress, Maria. A lovely evening and I will go again!More

Made a last minute booking for this absolutely beautiful restaurant on a visit to London and it did not disappoint. After looking online at their menu, we were sure we wanted to go here so we made a booking and headed down. They actually hadn’t...got our booking yet because we had booked so close to the time that we arrived but that wasn’t an issue as they found us a table straight away. All the staff were friendly and attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was absolutely sensational with so much flavour, I had the Risotto Alba and my friend had the Ravioli. We were both full just from having mains so we didn’t try any of the desserts but they looked fantastic also. Will definitely stop by again on another trip to London as would love to try other things on the menu. Would 100% recommend this lovely restaurant!More

Great food and service. Lovely atmosphere on a Friday evening. Would recommend booking. We felt lucky to get a table for 2 only booking the same afternoon as the restaurant was full. Loved the ravioli and the profiteroles were the best ever

I should have mentioned to waitress at the time but didn't want to ruin a lovely meal for a friend's birthday. My Bruschetta was worst I've ever had, mainly because the bread was not toasted sufficiently and there was no finesse with regard to presentation....The pile of chopped tomatoes masked the bread and I had to search for it, only to find it in a soggy state - nothing worse than soggy Bruschetta. I couldn't finish the tomatoes as they were never ending. Fortunately the Risotto was lovely. Olivelli Chefs - please check your Bruschetta offering as it is NOT up to standard.More

Wonderful food and an amazing service! We had the mixed Italian starter for two followed by the sea bass Italian style and Scoglio pasta. We had an amazing Gavi with it. All food and drinks were of the highest standards.

I could not recommend Olivelli more highly. We booked a table here for 14 people to celebrate an engagement proposal. Right from the very beginning, the staff at Olivelli were thoughtful and responsive to our booking request and requirements, even inviting us over to view...the restaurant before confirming the booking. The food, drink, and environment was of the highest quality and we were very well looked after. Throughout the night we had a dedicated staff member (Melanie) who saw to our every possible need and was always ready and willing to help. Melanie offered excellent food and drink recommendations and helped make our night one to remember. I highly recommend Olivelli's and very much look forward to when I can visit again!More

We had Scoglio, Carbonara and Tortelloni Paradiso for main meal and Tiramisu and Torta Paradiso. Everything was good. We had to make reservations since the night before they were full.

After a few visits over the last year, I like this restaurant but have concluded that the cooking could be a bit better - particularly the flavour and taste of pasta dishes. Last night, the mussels were amongst the best I've ever had. But the...Pasta al Tartufo and Tagliatelle Cinghale both lacked depth and flavour. The latter appeared to contain only tomato sauce with no cinghale (wild boar) detectable in taste or appearance.More

I've been here twice now and both times I was disappointed. It's not truly awful or anything but it isn't good either and, strangely, not very Italian either by which I mean the spaghetti was overcooked in the old fashioned English way (definitely not al...dente!) and the calamari massively overcooked also. I was fighting to fine any juicy bits amongst the rather dry and hard batter. Nothing wrong with the service I hasten to add but this was not a very enjoyable experience and London has plenty of cheaper end Italian restaurants serving much better food than this.More

I had the fish broth. All the fish tasted the same - though tasted of nothing much. The broth was nice … but I had no spoon so I couldn’t eat it! Bread dry. Deserts okay. Service mostly efficient though soulless. I wouldn’t return but...it was just about okay.More

The waitress drops off bread and water, then charge you $15 for it. On top of that a $20 service fee. Food was salty to the point of inedible. Meatball dish was mush. Saltimbocca inedible. Extremely expensive for food poorly executed. So many great restaurants...on this street that don’t employ shady check padding to make a living. Almost $200 for dinner for 2 adults and a little boy. Disgraceful.More

A fortunate find close to our hotel. Busy friendly restaurant even on Sunday evening - I suggest booking. Good quality food at a reasonable price. The meatball dish needed some pasta or more than 2 pieces of bread. Sicilian tart was excellent.

We have been this to this restaurant twice in 2 weeks because of the lovely food and great service. The menu looks really nice on paper and the dishes we tried were great. The seafood in particular was very tasty. The service is also very...good, attentive but not over bearing and always happy to help. On our second visit we were given a complementary limoncello which was a nice surprise. We came to the restaurant as we had tickets for the Old Vic, and are very pleased to have found this restaurant. We will definitely be coming again and thoroughly recommend.More
